When somebody told me i would change
It had been two months since Zayn had been turned human. He and Harry were now living in Manchester due to the worry that The Vampire Society would find them.
Zayn hadn't yet adjusted to the human lifestyle and if you'd asked him how he felt, he'd say he was dying on the inside. He really hated it. For one, his immunity system was rather sensitive at the present, and Harry had been feeding him healthy food. Bye bye fast food.
That wasn't the only thing he had to quit, Harry had caught him smoking and then confiscated his cigarettes. How awesome.
Harry was even more gentle around Zayn and he was grateful, at least Harry hadn't fully turned into a Mama bear.
The hardest part was that they were arguing more lately.
Like today.
Zayn had lost his temper when he caught Harry taking out all of the alcohol in the house.
"Harry, why can't you let me be?!" Zayn yelled.
Harry stopped in his tracks.
"Zayn, you know I love you.... It's for your best...."
Zayn marched over to Harry and towered over him. Harry couldn't understand how HARD it was being human?
"It's easy for you to say, you don't understand how it feels to be human."
"Love, I've been human for all my life.... and I know it's hard. I struggle too. But zee, I want to help you be healthy, look at you now, you look way better than you did when you first turned human..." Harry took Zayn's hand in his and squeezed it.
Zayn's gaze softened and he pulled Harry into a hug. Harry must have had it hard too.
Zayn hadn't been an easy force to deal with the past few months and yet Harry hadn't complained... instead he'd understood and tried to help Zayn adjust.
Harry buried his face in Zayn's chest. "I love you"
"I love you too..."
Their love had only grown stronger after each fight.
That was the magic of them.
But Zayn still hated being human.
That had to change soon and quick.
Because who knows what could happen?
