The late morning sun peeked through the blinds, casting soft golden stripes across the bed. Lyric stretched lazily, her head resting on Trevon's chest. His arm was draped around her, his body warm against hers.

"You comfortable or somethin'? You been layin' on me for hours," Trevon teased, his voice low raspy from sleep, that familiar street edge in his tone.

Lyric rolled her eyes, though a small tugged at her lips. "Shut up. You ain't complainin' "

He chuckled, his hand lazily tracing circles on her back. Nah, I'm not. But you keep movin' like that, I might start."

Lyric swatted at him playfully before sitting up, the sheets falling off her shoulders. She tucked her hair behind her ears and swung her legs off the bed. "I gotta get up anyways. I'm going to see Alex today."

Trevon sat up slightly, propping himself on one elbow. "Alex? What u tryna go see her for?" His tone held a mix of curiosity and slightly annoyance.

I haven't seen her in forever," Lyric said, standing and stretching. I just wanna check in see what's she's been up to".

Trevon smirked, watching her move around the room. She better not be tryna pull you into some dumb shit. You know how u and your lil' friend be

Lyric shot him a look over her shoulder. "She's not even like that Trevon".

He raised an eyebrow, his grin widening. "Mmhmm. Whatever you say, baby"

As lyric turned to grab her jeans from a nearby chair, Trevon reached out and gave her a playful smack on the butt. The sharp sound echoed in the quiet room.

"Trevon!" Lyric spun around, glaring at him though the corner of her mouth twitched like she was fighting a smile.

He leaned back against the headboard arms crossed, a smug expression on his face. "What?that's mine, ain't it? Gotta make sure u don't forget while u out here runnin' 'round".

Lyric shook her head trying to hide her blush. "You're so annoying".

"And you love it," he shot back with a wink

Grabbing her back, Lyric moved toward the door. "I'll be back later baby."

"Yeah, yeah," Trevon called after her. "Don't be out too long. You know I don't like sharin' my time."

Lyric rolled her eyes as she stepped out  but the small smile on her face lingered.
