*Tunnel Vision

The sun slipped through the blinds, casting golden streaks across the room. Rain slowly opened her eyes, her body still buzzing from the wild night before. Fritz lay beside her, knocked out and looking fine as hell with his arm draped over her. His chest rose and fell with each slow breath, the tattoos on his body refelecting the years he spent away. Rain smiled to herself-this was everything she'd dreamed of for the past 12 years. Fritz was finally home, and he was hers.

Rain ran her fingers across his abs, but Fritz started stirring. "Mmm, morning, baby," he muttered, kissing her shoulder.

"Morning," she whispered back, hoping he'd want to spend the day wrapped up with her just like this. But she could already sense it-the shift in his energy. Fritz was ready to reconnect with the world.

He sat up, stretching and rubbing his eyes. "Yo, I need to link with the homies, hit the block, and start moving around. Time to get back to it, babe."

Rain's heart sank, but she didn't let it show. She knew this was coming, but she wasn't ready to share him yet. She wanted to spend more time laid up, just the two of them, without distractions from the outside world. But she couldn't let him see her clinginess.

"Yeah, for sure, baby," Rain smiled, sitting up and smoothing her hair. "But first, let's get you right. We need to get you a new phone today, and maybe even a car. You gotta be fresh now that you back out here."

Fritz grinned. "Damn, I like how you think. Let's do it."

Rain leaned over and kissed him, but in her mind, she was already making moves. She had one thing on her mind-protect her investment. Fritz wasn't just a man to her; he was her future. And if that meant keeping tabs on him every step of the way, so be it.

---

The day kicked off with a trip to the phone store. Rain made sure Fritz got the latest iPhone, and just as planned, she had the account set up under her name. She added tracking services without him even knowing, slipping the paperwork into her purse while Fritz played with his new toy, texting old friends.

"This phone fast as hell," Fritz said, scrolling through apps and getting familiar with the phone. "Appreciate you, baby."

Rain smiled. "Anything for you." Gotcha, she thought to herself.

Next stop: the car dealership. Fritz was all smiles as he checked out the whips on the lot, bouncing between sports cars and SUVs. Rain knew this was a moment he had been dreaming about for years, but for her, it was all part of the plan. She ordered a GPS tracker for whichever car he picked and made sure it would sync to her phone before he even signed the paperwork.

"This one right here," Fritz grinned, running his hand over the hood of a sleek black Charger. "What you think, babe?"

Rain gave him a playful smirk. "That's all you, baby. Let's get it."

Fritz looked like a kid on Christmas morning, and Rain felt satisfied knowing she had everything under control. He thought this was just a day of celebrating his freedom, but to her, it was about setting the boundaries that would keep him hers-always.

---

They spent the entire day shopping. Rain helped Fritz pick out clothes, shoes, and even some new jewelry. He was glowing, soaking in the freedom he hadn't tasted in over a decade.

"This is life," Fritz said, grinning as he draped his arm around Rain while they walked through the mall. "You really held me down. I got mad love for you, girl."

Rain leaned into him, her heart swelling with pride. "I told you, baby. I ain't going nowhere." And she meant every word.

As Fritz enjoyed the spoils of his new life, Rain worked silently in the background. Every decision she made that day was carefully calculated. New phone? Tracked. New car? Tracked. New life? Controlled.

Fritz had no idea Rain had set perimeters around his entire world. But she didn't care. She had one vision-one goal: to protect what was hers.

Because in Rain's mind, love wasn't just about trust. It was about control. And nobody was about to take Fritz away from her, not after all she sacrificed. Not now, not ever.

By the end of the day, Fritz was feeling like a king, but Rain? She was feeling like the queen who controlled the entire chessboard. And as they cruised back to the apartment in the new Charger, Fritz's hand resting comfortably on her thigh, Rain knew that everything was exactly how it needed to be.

Fritz might've thought he was free. But Rain? She had him locked down tighter than he'd ever been behind bars.
