It was 10Pm at night still Aditya had not returned home. Kalpana and Saraswati was talking without caring about the world. Aradhya who was scrolling through her mobile looked up  at clock to find it struck at 10. She turned towards her aunt calling her.

Aradhya: Aththe why didn't Aditya come home till now? Usually he would have come at this time na?
Kalpana: Yes dear. Sometimes he get late due to some meetings.
Aradhya: Ohh...
After an hour Kalpana asked all to go to sleep as Aditya didn't seem to come home for now. Aradhya's worry was evident in her face which didn't go unnoticed by Kalpana.

Aradhya: Umm.. Aththe I don't feel like sleeping. You all go... I'll come later.
Kalpana speculated she's going wait for Aditya and decided to play along with her.

Kalpana: Aradhya go and sit in your room atleast. What will you do alone here?

Aradhya: umm... Aththe... I thought to call my friend Since it has been long time I talked with her.

Saraswati: Which friend?
Aradhya: Schl friend..her name is...haan... Divya.
Kalpana couldn't help but chuckled at her.

Kalpana: Aradhya, Seeing u stammering I feel like something more in it.

Aradhya (stammering): N..no no Aththe.. It's nothing.
She acted to be bold but her fumbling made her worse.

Kalpana: By any chance Are u gonna wait for Aditya?
Saraswati wondered why didn't she think of this.
Aradhya's eyes widened but she composed herself. Her cheeks turned red.

Aradhya: No Aththe. I was just going to call Divya. If u say so, I'll wait for him too...afterall I'll be here only.

Kalpana: I'm okay with it. I have to serve him food once he returned home.

Aradhya: No problem Aththe. I'll do,u go and rest.

Kalpana: You go and sleep if got late... Don't wait for him.

Aradhya: Okay Aththe.

Kalpana and Saraswati shared known looks and smiled at Aradhya.
Aradhya: Good night Aththe, good night ma..u go and sleep. I'll come.

They kept talking on their way.
Saraswati: I'm sure she is waiting for him only.
Kalpana: I know. That's why I let her.
Saraswati: God has already tied the knot I think.
Kalpana: May god keep them blessed.
My children should be happy always.

Aradhya waited for him in the hall. Her eyes felt heavy, she dozed off sitting in the couch keeping her head in the headrest. At nearly 12 Aditya returned home, he was about to go upstairs to call his mom as he know she wouldn't leave him empty stomach even if it's midnight. But before he go he saw the sleeping angel glowing in the ceiling lamp. He was confused why she had to sleep in uncomfortable manner. He went near her about to wake her up but a idea clicked in his mind so suddenly.

He sat beside her taking his phone and took a selfie of both. He was scared what if she wakes but still he tried his luck. He gently cupped her face and let her head rest on his shoulder. Then took a photo of them. Aradhya feeling warmth moved close to him in sleep. He began sweating...and turned to find she is still asleep. He let a relaxed sigh. But her closeness didn't help him. He want to freeze the moment and live it forever.

Aditya(Whispering): I'm uncertain how to make you mine, but I vow to never let you go. I'll hold you close, enveloped in my arms, forever. I'll lavish you with affection, spoil and pamper you beyond measure. Every morning, I'll wake up to the radiance of your face, and every night, I'll drift off with your captivating beauty etched in my mind. Through life's ups and downs, I'll stand by you, unwavering in my support. I promise to cherish and love you unconditionally, now and forever. Though you may not hear these words,I know they're etched in my heart as an unbreakable vow. I love you Ara. Love u a lot...

Saying this he planted a kiss on top of her head. He placed her back like how she was before. Then he gently patted her shoulder to wake her up as if nothing happened. She didn't seem to wake up. She opened her eyes  after his consecutive attempts. Seeing him she smiled warmly at him.

Aradhya(smiling): Aditya u came...
Her smile fluttered his heart.
Aditya: Ara why are you sleeping here?

Then she remembered how she had waited for him and dozed off here only...then all her drama infront of her mom and aunt just to wait for him.
She thought whether she can tell him the truth or not. Will he judge her? Will he think why she has to wait for him? Her trance broke when Aditya snapped his fingers. She looked at him with her innocent eyes not knowing what just happened. Her innocent doe eyes melted Aditya.

Aradhya: I didn't feel like sleeping so I was just talking to my friend. I asked Aththe to sleep. I'll serve you food come...
She moved to dining while Aditya rewound what she said and predicted that she must have waited for him asking his mom to go. This thought alone made him the happiest...he felt as if she was also in love with him.

Aditya: Would have she worried that I didn't come home early? That's why she waited for me?
With brightest smile in his face he saw Aradhya reheating the food. He washed his hands and sat in the dining chair.

Aradhya came and served his food. He saw her face and noticed the hair falling on her face blocking his view. He gently tucked her hair behind her ear with his other hand. Aradhya froze and looked at him. Their eyes met with unspoken feelings. Aditya was quick to recover and tried to ease the situation.

Aditya: I thought it's disturbing you.
Aradhya(nodding): It's fine.

He then ate calmly relishing the food cooked by his love. Atlast he licked his fingers still couldn't get rid of the taste.
Aradhya turned all red with his one act. He washed his hands then came and saw she was taking his plate, stopped her.

Aditya: Ara wait... I'll take it.
Aradhya: It's okay it's just plate.
Aditya: No no u are not taking this. Leave it.
Aradhya: I'm not listening. You go and sleep
Aditya: Ara..I..
Aradhya: It's nothing Aditya let me do.
She then washed his plate & put in place.

She came back and saw Aditya standing still.
Aditya: Ara...I was struck with important meeting with my foreign clients that's why I got late. This happens sometimes. U don't have to wait controlling your sleep. Okay?
Aradhya was shocked to hear him...how he got to know.

Aradhya: I...I..
Aditya: You don't have to say anything. I know... come with me.
He held her soft palm with his hard ones. She was still in shock and kept looking at him who was moving forward with her. She looked at their hands and then at him.

He left her hand when they came infront of her room.

Aditya: Good night Ara... and Thank you for waiting for me (wink)
Aradhya(blush): Good night.
They both went to their rooms and laid on bed still not coming out of their own world. Slowly sleep consumed them.
