The sound of a motorcycle ran through the dark night. Rain seemed to block it out as it hit the concrete like a swarm of angry bees. Mikaela didn't mind it though. The realms were dull and boring. She wanted... no. She needed to get some thrill that isn't just from getting chased by blood thirsty killers.
She was lucky enough to convince the entity to let her leave the realm to pull one heist. But once she rides off from the place, she'll end up back in the entity realm with her stolen good. If she failed, she'll still end up back in the entity realm with waisted blood point and empty handed.
She stops the cycle outside of a building. "Here we go." She says as she made sure the belt was on tight enough. It had her gadgets that the entity gave her. She felt its eyes boring into her. She knew it was watching and waiting for her to get done or slip up.
She wasn't changed into blending into night type clothes. It was just her normal, default clothes which allowed a bit of protection in the night. She wished she could blend in a bit more and have more protection from the rain. But this'll have to do. The clock was ticking as she walks to the building and up a fire escape.
Her item of choice was simple. An ancient artifact that held beautiful jewels as orange as her hair, maybe lighter. The necklace was made of pure gold too. She heard of people attempting to break in and steal it. But no one successfully did get it.
She gets to the roof of the building and walks. She had been to this museum plenty of times when she was a kid. She knew the room she wanted was the only one with a glass roof. She makes it there and looks around inside.
She saw red from above. Laser grids. "They really amped up security. Has the stealing gotten that bad?" She asked herself as she tied her rope to a pipe on the roof. She gives it a firm tug to see if it was secure. It was. She then makes a hole in the glass. A smooth circle big enough for her to go in and out of. She also got it to shift on its side, allowing her to take it out with ease.
She got a better look inside and know realized there were two of them. "Really?" She asked herself before tying the rope around her waist. She looked inside again to make sure there wasn't anyone in before she dropped herself inside.
She wasn't dumb though. She knew one gentle touch and those things would go off. She'd be caught and no necklace for her. She held the rope and slowly slid herself down.
She looks at the grid and takes in a breath. Calmness was the best key to this. If she panicked, things would get worse. She slowly slides down, doing poses to get past the lasers. When she was alive, she used to take gymnastics and acrobatic classes. It was before she got into the art of witchcraft and such, but they were still part of her good years. They were also paying off right now. She found it easy to get past them thanks to those lessons. Her body moved like that of a snake and elegant dancer until getting to the second grid. She takes a moment to relax. It was about a minute or two before she copies what she did to the first grid.
She makes it above the protective glass the artifact was in. She takes out her glass cutting tool again, making sure to balance herself mid air. She carefully cuts the hole big enough for her hand to slip through. She sets the cut out circle on top before making sure there wasn't anything that would make the alarms set off inside of the case. She looked back up at the lasers before looking back down and carefully removing the necklace from its holder. She waits for a minute. Then another. Then another.
"Seriously... it was just the laser as its protection?" She asked herself as she put the necklace in an empty pouch on her belt. She grabs the rope and slowly climbs back up it. She was careful with climbing up as it was harder than sliding down to avoid the lasers. Luckily, she could do it. She had unhooked herself many times and escaped the grasps of killers loads of times. This was just a cakewalk for her.
As she dodged the last laser, she sees her exit. She was a little too eager to get up and out but she didn't care. She had what she came here for and that was good enough for her. She makes it to the hole before climbing out of it. The rain seemed to have calmed down and only sprinkled. It never rained in the entity realm, so she took a moment to take in her temporary freedom. She then makes it to the fire escape before climbing down the steps with a look of pride and excitement. She had finally gotten that thrilling feeling and had gotten something good out of it in return. A beautiful necklace of pure jewels and gold. She did a bit of research on it when she was alive, even did a school essay on it. It was worn by a queen from the Egyptian times. She made it crafted this way to show how rich and powerful she was to make enemies and traitors fear her.
She hopes back into her motor cycle before taking the precious jewel out to examine it once more. It was much more beautiful up close. She's put it on the second she gets a chance in the entity realm. She reeves up her bike after putting the jewel back into its pouch. She rides off with a smile and into a cloud of black fog.
The entity was entertained and pleased by Mikaela's heist. She makes it back to the realm and got smiles from others who complimented her necklace. She didn't tell them where she got it though. She sits down in a log before pulling out a book and beginning to read. The necklace hung around her neck and seemed to glow by the fire.
