There are some things you can't change  in this world.

Yet, at the same time, there are many things you can.But then again, you wouldn't want to change some of them.

And the remaining things? You just don't care about them.

Tap Tap Tap Tap --- Tap---Tap Tap---

I could feel the corners of my mouth twitch up a little bit. Man. I can't believe it. How can she make me smile at a time like this, it's beyond my understanding.

Tap Tap Tap---

I chuckled silently . Others in the room looked at me incredulously. I could tell right away that it was her who was coming this way. For me. Only she had that kind of walk. You know, the kind in which you never know where the person is going to turn or stop abruptly. It may be pretty annoying but I find it kind of cute. Yes, it suited her.

"Cody?"

My eyes snapped up from the white wall that I had been burning holes into. My body shivered in delight at the sound of my name falling from her heavenly lips.

My resolve crumbled as I took in her appearance and suddenly, I was in front of her. She had changed her clothes, and looked as if she was running late for an appointment. Her curly midnight black hair was left loose and ended just below her shoulders. She was dressed in denim jeans and a green top that just went below her mid thighs.  I could feel myself losing it. Whenever I'm with her, I can be at my weakest and most ridiculous state. And now, I was ready to break in front of everyone. Like a piece of falling glass, waiting for someone or something to catch me, prevent my fall.

Our eyes connected and I watched her panicked chocolaty brown orbs turn to relieved , then concerned ones.

I gazed down in amazement as she began standing on her tip toes. How had I found her again? Her small hand came up to cup my left cheek and my head tilted towards it unconsciously. I sighed contentedly  as my hands held her by her waist and  brought her closer to me. I bent down so that I could be face to face with my angel.

"Cody." She whispered, cupping my right cheek with her other hand. Her warm breath fanning my face.

"Ivana." I breathed.

A small smile made it's way up to my face when I thought of her.

There's always this one person in your life who can see right through you and read your mind even before you can think. You find them really annoying and unintentionally, you are drawn to them. You want them to leave you the heck alone, all the while wanting to grasp their hand and never leave it.

As for me, I never knew what fate had planned for me. Had I been informed prior to the incident, I would have prepared for it. Thoroughly. With a bullet proof vest.

Ivana.

She  is one such person in my life. We had met accidentally twice. I wouldn't call the second time an accident really. We had been going to the same high school for nearly a year and hadn't noticed each other even once. I wouldn't say that we were the famous personalities in our senior year. We were pretty normal and hung out with the average mob.

I chuckled as I remembered our first meeting.

"Ow man, what did you just do?"

"I'm sorry dude. I didn't think that it would work."

"You thought that an iron box plugged into a plug point with switch on wouldn't work?!"

I started walking away from him rubbing my left arm furiously.
