"Come on, your going to be late!" Shouted mum at me while I was in the bathroom doing my makeup. I absolutely hate mornings. I heard mum racing up the stairs to get me. "Come on, your going to miss the first day of your new school. Don't you want to make a good impression?" Said mum in a strict way.
I collected my heavy backpack picked up my lunch money from the table, and stormed out the front door and waited for mum to open the car, so I could get in.
She clicked the button on her car keys to unlock the it for me to get in. I opened the door, shoved my bag in the back and slumped in the car. It took a few times to start the engine but once she started it she zoomed down the lane. That's it, no going back now.
As we pulled up to the school gates, I had a lump in my throat I was that worried. Mum wanted to come in with me, but I wanted to feel grown up so I said that I will be ok on my own. But I really wasn't. As I started to walk towards reception everyone started staring at me and whispering about me. I felt like I didn't belong already.
As I walked in, there was a teacher to greet me. As he greeted me he said "Hello, I am Mr White. I will be taking you to your new class. Here is your new planner with your timetable in. Do you know anyone here already?" I answered "No I don't yet"
Let's hope everyone here is as nice as Mr White.
