Over the last couple of months, Ian and Isabella's relationship had blossomed in ways they hadn't expected. What started as a serendipitous meeting had turned into something far deeper—something real. Ian Aiden Reyes, the man who had once lived his life behind walls, stoic and distant, now found himself vulnerable and open, completely and utterly in love with the woman who had swept into his life. And Isabella Evans? She had found her perfect match in Ian, the man who understood her quirks, her dreams, and her fears—someone who loved her not despite them, but because of them.
After that fateful picnic date at the beach where Ian had confessed his feelings, they officially began dating. There was no hesitation, no confusion. They both knew what they had was special. They spent their days exploring the city together, discovering hidden gems and finding beauty in the ordinary. What was once casual—dinners and gallery visits—soon became rituals they both cherished. Every weekend was an adventure, whether they were wandering through art galleries or simply sitting on a park bench, talking about their lives, futures, and just small talk.
Isabella loved the way Ian's presence grounded her. His calm, methodical nature soothed her, while her vibrant spirit drew out the playful side of him that no one else seemed to see. Around Isabella, Ian's icy, businesslike demeanor that he had grown so used to at work slipped away. He was warm and gentle and completely himself with her.
Both of their families were equally overjoyed with their relationship His mother was especially proud of herself for orchestrating the blind date, even though Ian would never admit it. Isabella's family, too, was supportive. Her mother had always been fond of Ian's family, and knowing that her daughter had found someone who cherished her brought her peace.
Despite the natural progression of their relationship, there were still layers to uncover, and Ian found himself more intrigued by Isabella with each passing day. She had shared with him her dreams of one day opening her design studio, with the dream as her love of creating and the unique perspective she had on the world could be shared. But she had also opened up about her fears—about being vulnerable, about getting too close, too fast, and dreaming too big which might lead her to her disappointment towards the results.
For Ian, vulnerability had always been a foreign concept. He had been raised to focus on his responsibilities, on the company, on maintaining an image of control, and on the name he holds as the heir of the family. He shared stories from his past that he rarely spoke of, his hopes for the future, his dream when he was a little kid, and the quiet moments of doubt that crept into his otherwise stoic exterior.
Still, for all the joy they shared, Ian had been thinking about something much more significant as the weeks passed. His love for Isabella had deepened to a point where he could no longer imagine his life without her. The more time he spent with her, the more certain he became. She was it for him. She was the one. And he knew exactly what he wanted to do next.
It was during that one-night-long car ride on the way home that the conversation topic turned to dreams and childhood memories. Isabella casually mentioned something that stayed with Ian. She told him that she had always wanted to visit a theme park. It wasn't something grand— just a simple dream of enjoying those magical places with roller coasters, cotton candy, and dazzling lights. She spoke of it with a wistful smile. But for one reason or another, she had never had the chance to go.
That night, as Ian lay in bed, her words echoed in his mind. A plan began to form—a plan that would give Isabella the magical experience she deserved. But more than that, it would be the setting for a moment he had been carefully planning for weeks. He had already spoken to both their parents, and the engagement ring had been sitting in his office drawer, waiting for the right moment.
