Time skips//Lisa stumbled into her apartment, kicking off her shoes as she leaned heavily against the door, the weight of the night crashing down on her.
She had barely made it home, her steps unsteady not just from the alcohol, but from the emotional storm brewing inside her.
She stood there for a moment, her back pressed against the cool wood, trying to steady her breathing.
The room was dark, save for the faint glow of city lights streaming through her window, but she didn’t bother to turn on the lights.
She didn’t want to see the emptiness of the space. It felt too much like her heart right now.
Sliding down to the floor, Lisa buried her face in her hands. What have I done?
She had been holding onto those feelings for so long, convincing herself she could keep pretending, keep being just his friend.
But tonight, something inside her had snapped. Maybe it was the drinks. Maybe it was the years of pent-up emotion.
Either way, it was out now, and there was no taking it back.
“You’re a playboy, Jungkook. You’ll never change.” Her own words echoed in her head, and a bitter smile tugged at her lips.
She wasn’t angry at him. She couldn’t be. This was her fault.
She had been the one foolish enough to fall in love with someone who could never love her back.
That was on her.
But it still hurt.
She thought back to the look on his face when she confessed—stunned, confused.
He hadn’t seen it coming, just like she had predicted. He had always been oblivious when it came to her.
And yet, a part of her had still hoped. Hoped that maybe, just maybe, he felt something too.
But his silence had spoken louder than any words. He didn’t feel the same. He probably never would.
Lisa drew her knees up to her chest, resting her chin on them as silent tears finally began to fall. She had ruined everything.
Their friendship, the easy comfort they’d had, was gone now.
How could they ever go back to the way things were?
“I’m just tired,” she whispered to herself. Tired of pretending. Tired of loving someone who didn’t love her back.
Tired of hoping for something that would never happen.
For a long time, she sat there in the dark, letting the tears come.
She knew she would have to move on, somehow. But right now, all she could do was sit with the heartbreak, her heart aching for the one person she couldn’t have.
She always knew it, the consequences of confessing. The risk of breaking their bond.
But now after what happened, she felt somewhat light hearted. She doesn't have to pretend atleast.
The act was over now... and he'll never ever look at her the same way as before.
She falls back on her bed as her mind drifted back to the first time Jungkook noticed her....
