Chapter 26 Alone

Umm so here's the  chapter

Two days later

It been two days since nitya funeral and the environment of the house is so gloomy

A mother lost her daughter a father lost her princess grandmother lost her gossip partner a grandfather lost her partner in crime two daughter in law lost their sister in law

And most importantly two brothers lost her sister the bond of sister and brother is so weird yet so beautiful one minute they are ready to fight and next they are defending each other in front of other no one can understand the except they themselves

Vinay and satvik were heartbroken but satvik somehow managed to stand being the king and eldest he have responsibility as much he lost his sister people of Jaipur lost there princess to everyone it felt a personal loss whenever nitya use to go she used to adopt it

But on the other hand Vinay was so broken he locked himself inside nitya and didn't stepped out of it only chestha comes inside to feed which he barely ate he just keep on crying and crying

Vinay sat frozenstaring at the bracelet that nitya gave to him on his birthday when she was 15 with a money she earned after babysitting his hands shaking while touching it

The air in Nitya's room felt heavy like it was suffocating him the warmth that the room had is long gone it like she took it with her

His eyes is red and puffy from crying he looked across the room, catching glimpses of little things that once belonged to her her favorite sketchbook the half empty perfume bottle on the dresser the small teddy bear she always kept on her bed the dress she took out to wear for the event in her college placed exactly there

"She's really gone."

The thought slammed into him like a wave knocking the air out of his lungs. He squeezed the bracelet in his hand, holding on to it as if it was the last piece of her he had left.

"Tune promise kiya tha ki tu kabhi nahi chhodega...," he whispered, his voice cracking as fresh tears spilled down his cheeks. (You promised you'd never leave...)

he cried openly and uncontrollably. He was the strong one being in the mafia made him ruthless sarcastic he was the who always kept it together for the sake of everyone else.

But sitting here, alone in her room, he felt like he was falling apart Every breath he took it was difficult every memory twisted the knife a little deeper He felt weak, helpless like a part of him was missing

Flashback

"Vinay bhaiya, jab main badi ho jaungi, tab bhi na, tu hamesha mere saath rahega na?" 10 year old nitya asked one night, her voice soft as they sat under the stars on the terrace. (Vinay brother, when I grow up, you'll still always stay with me, right?)

Vinay had smiled, pulling her into a one-armed hug. "Pagli, tu jitni marzi badi ho ja, main hamesha tere saath hoon. Tujhe mujhse kabhi door nahi hona padega." (Silly, no matter how much you grow up, I'll always be with you. You'll never have to be away from me.)

They had sat there for hours, laughing, talking about their futures like they had all the time in the world. But now, she was gone.

Back to Present

"Main kaise sambhaloon sab kuch tere bina?" Vinay whispered, his chest tight with grief. (How am I supposed to handle everything without you?)

He felt a knot in his stomach, the kind that made you feel like you're about to break down any second She was too young, she had too many plans too many thing to do she used to tell him

His mind raced with all the moments they would never have now the fights they would never make up after, the birthdays he wouldn't get to tease her on the random late-night talks that would never happen again everything gone in a woof

"Tu hamesha kehti thi ki main hero hoon, but ab toh main khud ko bhi nahi sambhal pa raha," he muttered, wiping his face with the sleeve of his hoodie, but the tears wouldn't stop. (You always said I was the hero, but now I can't even hold myself together)

" i wish you didn't went to college that day" with that he broke down again

It been harder than i thought it was getting difficult to handle everything me and bhabhi were the only ones who were looking out for everyone

Our friends came as soon as they got to know i have never seen reyansh cried the amount he cried when he thought he lost Aradhya

Rohan also came today with kavya to say he was heartbroken would be an understatement he tried his best to talk to vinay but it feels like he shut him off away from everything i was sitting in the hall with everyone no one talking just sitting idealy

I decide to broke the silence " why don't you guys go and help him out of the room its been two days he last saw it's unhealthy please do something " all three of them noded and made there way towards the room

After some times they heard a crash sound coming from the room
