"Meeting"

It was early morning, and the Sheriff's office was bathed in soft golden light, the first hints of dawn casting long shadows across the small, sleepy town. The cool air hung still, holding onto the quiet remnants of the night as Gojo, Suguru, and Nanami stood outside the Mayor's office, waiting for the meeting to begin. It wasn't the usual time for such affairs, and Gojo, predictably, wasn't pleased.

"Why do we have to be here this early?" Gojo whined, rubbing his eyes dramatically. Leaning lazily against the wall, he looked the picture of exaggerated exhaustion. His silver-white hair fell slightly into his eyes, which were only half-open as he yawned loudly. "Meetings in the morning? Really? I haven't even had my coffee yet. This is cruel and unusual punishment."

Suguru, who stood next to him with arms crossed, chuckled softly, his long dark hair falling in a neat ponytail. "You're the Sheriff, Satoru. Maybe it's time to get used to early mornings, like the rest of us."

Gojo groaned, throwing his head back against the wall, the movement only half-serious. "You say that like it's not completely unnatural. Who wakes up before the sun? Heroes like me deserve more sleep."

Nanami, standing quietly on the other side, let out a deep sigh. Dressed sharply as always, with his glasses perched neatly on his nose, he crossed his arms in silent frustration. "If you took your responsibilities seriously for once, Gojo, these meetings wouldn't feel so burdensome."

Gojo turned his head lazily toward Nanami and grinned, a glint of mischief in his eyes. "Oh, come on, Nanamin. You know you agree with me. Early morning meetings? They're the worst."

Nanami closed his eyes for a moment, as if summoning patience from the depths of his soul. "We wouldn't have to endure these if you actually paid attention during the last ones."

Suguru chuckled again, though he kept his face composed. Gojo, always one for dramatics, opened his mouth to retort when the heavy wooden doors to the Mayor's office swung open. All three men straightened immediately, though Gojo did so with a sluggish stretch and a reluctant yawn.

The Mayor strode into the room, followed by a few town officials. His face was drawn, concern weighing heavily on his expression. He took his seat at the head of the long table without ceremony, nodding curtly to the three men before speaking.

"Gentlemen, thank you for coming. I apologize for the early hour, but these matters are pressing." His voice was calm, but the gravity of his words settled in the air like a storm cloud.

Suguru leaned forward, listening intently, while Nanami's face remained composed, though his eyes flickered with focus. Gojo, however, sat lazily in his chair, his head propped on one hand, looking at the Mayor with half-lidded eyes, still clearly in no hurry to be involved.
