I will be putting these stars (***) before the molest happens for whoever wants to skip over it and ending with the same stars so you can continue reading.

I pace back and forth while the doctor takes his sweet time looking over my daughter.
My wife weeps into her beautiful dress sleeves and leaves behind many puddles of gold.
I go to her and give her as much comfort as possible, while inside; I too am a wreck.
I had sent every one home after Midnight-

"Your highness, I have her charts ready." The doctor interrupted my thought process.
I have never moved so fast in my life nor has my wife.

With expecting eyes upon him, he clears his throat and speaks.

"While I had her lucid enough; she said she ripped her wings out since they were half eaten and didn't see a point in keeping them."
That one sentence had my wife gasping out heart wrenching sobs.

Her wings were eaten. She jerked them out while she was walking out of the maze.

I think in horror.

I gnashed my teeth together and he broke out in a visible sweat but continued with his report.
"Princess Midnight has multiple scrapes and bruises, a couple cracked ribs, no wings, and for the most part; trauma. I wasn't able to get her to speak that much and she wouldn't allow me to look extensively for any more injuries. However, when she wakes and you are able to get her to talk, I'd like to know so I can better treat her. " He says finishing up.
"I bandaged her up and gave her some medicine for the pain. She's sleeping now but you can go see her." He says closing his books up and walking off with a respectful bow.

I looked back at my wife and stared at her beautiful crestfallen face. Her perfect pink lips are puckered out in a small pout, her emerald green eyes shine with a golden film of her tears, and her fiery red hair is in messy waves cascading around her high defined cheekbones.
So mesmerizing...
"My love...I want to see our child." She says softly, her voice cracking at the end.
I grab her hand and gently pull her towards me and when she's standing as close as I can get her to my body, I gently cup her face and press my forehead to hers.
She closes her eyes and as usual she starts to rub her nose gently across mine.

"I love you and I live for you. Do not cry anymore. We will get through this my love. She's a tough child and I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes a warrior or knight later in life. She acts nothing like a proper princess." I say earning a teary chuckle from her.
I wipe away her tears and I trail soft kisses across her eyes and nose.
Her nose wrinkles and she smiles at the tickling sensation it gives off as she starts wiping furiously at it.

We straighten up and she sniffles a little and finally reigns in her emotions like the regal queen she is.

"Fire Ari and cut off the betrothal. I do not trust him anymore." She says before walking away and disappearing into the infirmary room.
A suck in a breath and mutter a curse under my breath.
I will have to put that conversation away for now. Now, I must focus on my child.
I walk into the room, my wife is gracefully sitting in a chair next to her bedside running her hand over Midnights eyes; looking into her memories.
I expect her to cry over what she's to see, but I'm startled when she begins to laugh hysterically; golden tears stream down her face freely.

"Have you gone mad?" I ask her bewildered and flustered by her reaction.

She shakes her head and continues to laugh.

"I can't..." she once more is cut off by her laughter.

I gingerly waltz over and grab her hand to see what she is seeing and soon the memories are playing through my head like I was there.
