The year was 1991.
A year that would change my life forever.
Sofia and her mother Devora along with wealthy businessman, Evan Scott arrive at their new beautiful mansion residing in Malibu, California. Completely different from their old small home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida thanks to Evan.Devora met the other while she was out dancing at a club one night a couple months prior. Ever since then the two were inseparable. To Sofia it really only seemed like she married the man because he was rich. She wouldn't be surprised if she were to kill the man and take all his money.
Sofia wasn't as pleased as Devora about this new change, having to leave all her friends behind and start over. But luckily for her she was great at making friends and tended to be extroverted. But what made the move uncomfortable for her was the fact that her new stepfather was a bit creepy at times and demanded that she calls him Daddy.
As many times as she would express that to her mother, she would always dismiss Sofia and call her delusional. This caused Sofia to have some resentment towards her mother.
But Sofia couldn't lie, she loved the fact they didn't have to struggle anymore. While she worked at a diner, her mother would dance at clubs during the night hours. But now? She was constantly going on shopping sprees, partying in exclusive clubs and she started modeling. Which is something she always wanted to do and Evan made sure to have her beauty shown to the world. She was beginning to make a name for herself.
The movers finished up moving everything into the house, it was even more extravagant inside. Sofia took her time wandering around the house until she stumbled upon the most perfect room for herself. It had a balcony with a gorgeous view, a huge walk in closet and a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. And as beautiful as all this was she couldn't bear to unpack right now. So instead she grabbed a book from her backpack and some sunglasses, setting them on the bed before slipping her dress over her head and changing into a white swimsuit that definitely showed off her curves. The window was open but she didn't care, after all, she was a careless girl.
Sofia slipped on the sunglasses and picked up her book before wandering through the large mansion once more, almost getting lost.
Sofia passed by a door and heard moaning sounds, she rolled her eyes at this. She wasn't even surprised that having sex would be the first thing they would do when they got to the house.
She found her a spot on the front lawn, and laid down on her side, the soft green grass cooling her body from the sun rays. She rested her elbow on the grass as she held the book up to her face.
Nicholas had just gotten home after a night of partying, knowing he's about to hear an annoying lecture from his father. He dreaded his father's lectures. He hops out of his car, noticing the moving trucks across the street. He wondered who could be moving in after it's been vacant for 8 years.
Nicholas unlocks the front door and steps into the awfully quiet house. He was in the clear.
"Nicholas is that you?!" His father exclaimed from upstairs.
Or so he thought.
Nicholas groaned in response and just started to head upstairs to his room, ignoring his father's calls. He hated when his father would visit. His parents could be a bit overbearing.
Not long after Julian Chavez, his father busted into Nicholas' room.
"So we're not going to meetings now? When I told you all week this specific fucking meeting is necessary for the damn company!" He yelled at the younger before taking a few steps towards him.
"I'm not in the fucking mood, get out man." Nicholas tried to say as calmly as he could, trying not to lash out on his father like he usual would.
"Ah of course, you fucking wreak of alcohol. You're a fucking failure. I can't fucking believe it. I have a failure for a son!" Julian says following with a laugh, right in Nicholas' face.
"I said get the fuck out!" Nicholas spits out before shoving his dad. Which causes Julian to return the action and the boys start tussling. This wasn't unusual for the pair, they would always get into arguments and fights.
It ended with Nicholas leaving the house all together, with a pounding headache and a busted lip. But just then, he noticed her.
His head darts across the street to a girl lying on the front lawn of the no longer vacant house. Her beautiful skin glistened in the sun, her golden locks and sickening curves. He was like a dog to a bone, he just had to say something. He couldn't contain himself, she was absolutely jaw dropping. He would be stupid to miss an opportunity like this.
Hey everyone I really hope this is a good first chapter and I hope you all enjoyed. Of course I had to hop on the Nicholas train. He is just toooooo fine.
