12• Stop and enjoy

Warning: light swearing.

SPROUT'S POV

I slowly woke up to a light headache. I felt sick. My first instinct was to look for Cosmo. I was still half asleep and my vision was blurry.

"Cosmo..." I whisper, my voice raspy.

"Good mor-"

"AAH!"

I didn't even notice Cosmo right beside me. I let out a high pitched yelp before falling back on the bed. This is so embarrassing...

"Take it easy, Sprout..." Said Cosmo as he gave me a short worried look.

"Sorry..."

It only took me a few moments to get filled with joy at the sight of Cosmo. He's so adorable... He can cure any pain.
Suddenly feeling better, i give him a tight hug and smile when it's returned.

"I see you're finally awake" a voice was heard from across the room.

"Vee?!" I ask, blushing as i get out of bed and get into shape.

"You sleep like a bear, Sprout. Anyway, i need you."

I looked back towards Cosmo, who was curiously staring at us.

"...Only if Cosmo can come too." I say with a smile, Cosmo smiling back.

"Sprout, this is serious. And also, he seems.... Squeamish."

"Oh.... Okay... Cosmo?" I ask, worried.

"Go. It sounds really important. We'll meet back up later!" He said, kicking his legs at the edge of the bed.

"Fine. Let's go, Vee."

COSMO'S POV

She said something about me being squeamish... Maybe someone got badly hurt and she needed Sprout to heal them?
Hope everything turns out okay. In the meantime, i can...

I heard a sudden thump coming from Dandy's room, followed my an angry yell:

"I'M AN IDIOT! A FUCKING IDIOT!!"

Then... More thumps...
I wanted to check up on him, but the smell of smoke drove me away.
Before i could even think about what's happening, i was engulfed by thick, black smoke. Unable to see and breathe properly, i bumped into somebody.

"Huh...?" Asked the Toon between coughs.

"Finn...!" I whimper, hugging him blindly.

I could sense that he was on only one heart. He had scratches all over and his head was cracked, water trickling down from it.

"Cosmo...! What's going on? Is something on fire?" He whispered.

"I think so! It came from-"

A large crack echoed through the lobby. The building is collapsing. Another crack, then another, then another... And finally a bang as parts of the ceiling break down and fall upon us.
Right as i thought it was the end for us, Finn quickly threw me away with all of his force. I safely collapsed in a hallway.
No! I can't leave him like this!

I squint my eyes to see through the smoke and use my ability, giving Finn one of my hearts before he disappeared under the debris.
He couldn't have survived...
I try to run towards the exit, being quickly  pulled by Sprout. He safely placed me down outside, visibly tired.

Without saying any word to eachother, we sit together silently.
Astro quickly arrived too, pulling Dandy after him.
I wanted to ask what happened in Dandy's room, but he seemed exhausted and hurt.
Giving him my other heart can't be an option either, since Sprout would... Haha...
