That was generally the time where most people were deeply asleep.
And they were no exception.
Midnight,
was probably the time where this house was the most quiet.
Midnight,
Was the time where he should be asleep, his strong arms wrapped around his smaller adorable husband.
Midnight,
Was the time where he could hear his partner crying silently.
Wait.
Crying?
Yes, crying. A person was sobbing. He couldn't think straight at first because he was sleepy... but semeone was definitely crying.
Who could it be? He was way too tired to move a muscle.
And then...
He stirred.
William stirred in his sleep.
All of a sudden he could move.
It was him- William was the one who was crying.
Heavy breaths and trembling lips, his petite body looked horrified.
As if he just saw... something traumatizing.
"No... please... don't..."
What could you possibly be dreaming about that got you into this state?
"I'm s-sorry... please don't leave me... Vincent..."
And his hand was now grapping his shirt with a lot of force.
Vincent smiled meaningfully.
He carefully grabbed William from his waist and brought him closer to him, letting his husband put his chin between the crook of his neck and shoulder.
You are definitely going to forget this once you wake up dove... *sigh* what a shame... I wanted to tease you about it
He wasn't serious about that of course. He was probably the last person on Earth that wants William to be sad.
William's sobs became more silent until they were not audible anymore.
William's well being was Vincent's priority. Therefore, he held him harder, not letting go one bit.
After a while, there was no sound anymore.
William was now snoring softly, his eyelids looking red from all the crying.
Vincent carefully brought William down with him, took the covers and put it one top of them. Still holding his husband close.
I won't leave. Anywhere at anytime you are priority.
