We walk back towards the throne room. I am in the middle. Jin is holding one of my hands and has our fingers intertwined, smiling ear to ear. Lyre has my other hand in his as his other hand holds Sapphire and Roksha's egg. When we walk into the throne room, everyone turns to look at us.

"Uhh....what happened here?" Roc asks us.

"Ella has taken Lyre as a consort," Jin says proudly and I can't help the heat that rises to my cheeks.

"No way! When were we allowed to do that!?" Kai whines out.

"Damn Rev! You called it," Pan yells as he digs in his pocket and retrieves money out of it. Reverie walks over and takes it from him counting it out. "I thought for sure it would be Roc."

"My bets were on Kai," Azrael says as he fetches money from his pocket to hand to Reverie.

"At least you two didn't bet on yourself," Reverie says with a sneaky grin as he looks at Luka, who hands him money with pink cheeks.

"Um...did you all bet on this? I just now found out it was a thing," I say and they nod. I place my hands over my eyes in embarrassment. "I have such a headache now."

"All Royals can have consorts Luna. It's a normal practice here," Reverie says as he pockets his money.

"So, what, you thought I was just going to take the whole lot?" I ask them, appalled.

"I mean, if that's what you wanna do then sure. I'm sure my father would love you as his daughter in law," Azrael says with a shrug.

"It would definitely be easier for us who don't have Queens yet. Just be with the already made Queen," Reverie laughs.

"It would indeed," Luka says with a nod.

"I'm so done," I say with a sigh.

"Luna! I wanna be a consort too!" Kai whines as he gets on his knees in front of me and wraps his arms around my waist. He looks up at me and I don't know what to say.

Lyre grabs Kai by the back of the shirt collar and drags him off of me. "Let her get used to the idea first before she takes more," he tells him as Kai kicks his legs like a toddler throwing a tantrum. "You can come with me. If I don't bring this egg back, Sapphire will kill me," Lyre says as he drags Kai out of the throne room to return the dragon egg to the cave.

I turn to the others. "What do the people think of this rule?" I ask them curiously.

Azrael shrugs, "They think it's normal. In fact, it means more Royals are here for their wellbeing and protection. Although consort children can't rule, they can do other things like guards, knights, members of political parliament, things like that."

"So... it's a good thing?" I ask in surprise.
