Scene continues...
Atharv quickly woke up and rushed to the washroom. After a quick shower, he headed downstairs where all the other family members had already gathered.
Abhinav and Om were engaged in a serious conversation, while Aarushi and Riddhima stood nearby, visibly shaken. Atharv scanned their faces, trying to decode the silence that had settled in the room.
Aditya walked up to him and handed him a photo—an image of Meera Chauhan’s suicide letter.
Content of the letter:
> "I never expected that I would be at such a point. Even while living a seemingly happy married life, I don't know what drove me to this. By the time this letter is found, I’ll have gone too far. There is no punishment for what I have done. But today, I have mustered enough courage to confess—I cheated on you, Dev. And now, I can't bear the suffocation of living this lie any longer. I compromised my self-respect, and that decision has turned me into a sinner. I fought my own family for you, only to end up betraying you. Life has become too complicated for me. Please forgive me—I’m leaving your life forever, because this guilt is killing me."
—Meera Chauhan
The letter didn’t shock Atharv as much as it devastated him. He took a long, deep breath, struggling to process all that had transpired overnight.
Walking over to Abhinav and Om, he asked, “How did all this happen?”
Abhinav replied coldly, “All this started with the revelation you both made last week. Mark my words—this is just the beginning of the destruction. Part ways with her now, or you’ll both be ruined.”
Atharv had no response. His silence spoke volumes. He simply walked away, ignoring the questioning eyes and heavy silence around him. His mind was spiraling under the weight of it all.

Atharv's POV:
I wanted to know the truth about last night, but not like this. If this is real, then it’s the darkest truth of Kritika’s life. And now that she’s with me, it will affect us too. Connecting all the clues together... does it mean her mother took that baby’s life along with her own? Was the father not Dev Chauhan? Or could there be another reason? Maybe my father was right—this mystery within the Chauhan family only deepens the more we dive into it. But what kind of storm will this bring to our lives now?
---
Soon, Kritika also woke up. She picked up her phone and was hit with a flood of hundreds of notifications from multiple platforms. When she saw the reason, her heart sank.
Her fingers trembled as her mind flashed back to the memory of the very first time she saw that letter—as a teenager. Those haunting memories came rushing back, snatching away whatever peace she had built.
---
Flashback begins...
Kritika was just 14 when she first learned about the letter. It was during an argument with her stepmother, Shikha. In the heat of the moment, Kritika had yelled that she hated her. That day, Shikha snapped.
She shouted, telling Kritika that it wasn’t her father who moved on too quickly after her mother’s death—it was her mother who had cheated on him first. Kritika refused to believe it. Her mother had been her world. But then Shikha showed her the suicide letter.
That day, everything shattered. The girl who had spent years blaming her father was now being forced to question the woman she worshipped. She confronted Dev, demanding answers. He quietly admitted it was true, but he hadn’t told her because he didn’t want to taint her mother's image.
