Two days later...
3:00 am

Atharv and Kritika were fast asleep when Kritika woke up due to a sharp, discomforting pain in her stomach. She quietly got out of bed and walked towards the window to get some fresh air.

But as time passed, the cramps only worsened. She slowly made her way to the washroom to splash water on her face and calm herself.

When the pain became unbearable, she grabbed a glass, poured water, and gulped it down. But with each passing minute, it started feeling like a near-death experience.

Sighing in defeat, she called out to Atharv in a shaky voice while sitting on the edge of the bed. She gently tapped his shoulder.

Atharv slowly opened his eyes, but the moment he saw tears in hers, all his sleep vanished in a millisecond.

He quickly sat up and asked, “Are you okay?”

Kritika whispered, “Please do something... my stomach is hurting so badly.”

Atharv replied, “Don’t worry, we’ll leave for the hospital right now.”

Saying this, he swiftly lifted her in his arms while she clenched her fists to endure the pain that was tearing her apart. He gently placed her on the passenger seat and immediately started the car, realizing the urgency.

He buckled her seatbelt and drove at the highest speed possible. As the pain intensified, she cried out, “Atharv, please do something. I feel like I’m going to die!”

Atharv responded, “Just trust me—I won’t let anything happen to you.”

He put all his efforts into rushing her to the hospital.

Soon, they reached the hospital. The doctors immediately took Kritika in for examination, while Atharv waited outside, nervously tapping his feet.

Moments later, a doctor emerged. Atharv rushed to her and asked, “Is everything alright?”

The doctor replied, “For now, I can’t say anything. We’ve completed the necessary tests and administered sedatives so she can sleep.”

Time skips...

Kritika was still unconscious due to the medication. The rest of the family had now arrived at the hospital upon learning of her condition.

Riddhima, Aarushi, and Aditya were waiting in the corridor when a doctor called Atharv inside. He walked into the room where Kritika was now conscious and sitting on the bed.

The doctor and Atharv stood nearby.

The doctor said, “Mr. Shekhawat, your wife’s test results are in, and we’ve identified the cause of her pain.”

Atharv asked anxiously, “What’s wrong with her?”

The doctor replied, “She has ovarian cysts.”

Atharv and Kritika’s expressions turned tense.

Kritika asked, “Is it curable?”

The doctor nodded. “Yes, it’s treatable. In most cases, it can be managed with medications depending on the condition.”
