Yuri woke up wrapped in warmth,
nestled between the twins, their bodies entwined with his in a way that felt both protective and possessive. The soft morning light filtered through the
curtains, casting a golden glow over the room. For a moment, everything seemed perfect, serene even.He felt different now, changed. The vulnerability of last night, the intimacy they'd shared-it had sealed something between them. Yuri couldn't help but smile as he watched the rise and fall of their chests, the peaceful look on their faces as they slept beside him.
He carefully slipped out of bed, trying not to wake them, and padded across the room to freshen up. His mind was a whirlwind of emotions-relief, desire, and something else he couldn't quite
place. As he splashed water on his face, memories of the night came flooding back, the softness of their touches and the way they whispered his name.
This is where I'm meant to be, he thought, staring at his reflection. The thought came suddenly, without hesitation. The life he had outside of them felt distant now, like a foggy memory. Even Sadie, who had always been his anchor, was beginning to feel like a stranger in his mind. He was getting used to the way the twins surrounded him, filled his world with their presence.Yuri headed back to the room quietly, only to find both twins awake now,
lounging on the bed, their eyes glinting with amusement as they watched him."Morning, love,” Remy greeted him lazily, patting the spot beside him. “We missed you already."
Rome stretched and smirked. "We don't like waking up without you."
Yuri blushed, still feeling a bit shy despite everything that had happened. “I didn't want to wake you,” he mumbled, slipping back between them as they immediately closed the gap, pressing their bodies close to his.
For a few moments, they just laid there, wrapped in each other's warmth. The silence was comfortable, but there was an underlying intensity to it, like something was waiting to be said.
Finally, Remy broke the silence. “Yuri, we've been thinking..." Rome continued, "There's something we need to talk to you about. Something important."
Yuri's heart skipped a beat as he felt their gazes fix on him, their intensity pulling him in. He nodded, unsure of what to expect. "What is it?"
The twins exchanged a glance before Rome leaned in closer, his voice low. "Our parents, Yuri. They're planning something... something that could tear us apart."
Remy added, his voice just as soft but with a sharp edge. "They want to send us back to Blackwood. We found out when you left the estate."
Yuri felt a chill run down his spine at their words. Blackwood. He remembered what they had told him about that place, how it had nearly broken them, how it had been a prison. The thought of them being sent back made his heart clench painfully. No, he thought. That can't happen.
"What?" he whispered, his voice shaky.
"Why would they do that? After
everything..."The twins' expressions darkened, and Rome took his hand, squeezing it gently. "They've never cared about us, Yuri.
They're scared of us, always have been. They're just waiting for the right moment to get rid of us for good."Yuri shook his head, not wanting to believe it. But deep down, he knew how controlling their parents were, how intense and calculating they could be. He had been so swept up in the intensity of his connection with them, so enveloped by their world, that he hadn’t realized how close they were to losing everything. Their parents weren’t just controlling—they were planning to act soon.
“How much time do we have?” Yuri asked, his voice quiet but laced with urgency.
Remy’s lips pressed into a thin line. “They’ll make their move in three days. After that, we’ll be gone. And once we’re back in the institute…”
