It was 10 pm and Aadya had not yet returned home. After Aadya's parents passed away, Navya had been living with Aadya  in her stunning white villa, with its lavish interiors and expansive spaces. But now, as she stood in the hall, her eyes fixed on the dining table, she felt a pang of worry.

Just as she was about to dial Aadya's number again, the sound of the gate creaking open broke the silence. She turned to see Aadya walking towards her, a sight that brought both relief and curiosity.

Relief; "She came."
Curiosity; "Where has she been till now?"

As Navya spotted Aadya at home, she exhaled a sigh of relief, but her expression soon turned to concern. "Aadya, why did you ignore my calls? Where have you been? If you were stuck somewhere, at least drop a message..."

Navya's voice trailed off as she took in Aadya's disheveled appearance - her tangled hair, puffy eyes that seemed to have shed countless tears, and her soiled clothes. Alarmed, Navya rushed to Aadya's side, gently stroking her hair as she asked, "What's wrong, Aadya?" Navya's voice trembled with worry, her eyes brimming with tears.

When Aadya remained silent, Navya pleaded, "Please, speak up, Aadya! Seeing you like this is breaking my heart."

Aadya's lips curled into a bitter smile as tears welled up in her eyes. "What can I say?" she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.

Navya's heart went out to her as she listened, Aadya's pain palpable in every word. With a gentle touch, Navya guided Aadya to the sofa, cradling her hand in hers. She offered Aadya a glass of water, her eyes filled with compassion. As Aadya took a sip, Navya's gaze never wavered, her concern for her friend evident in every glance.

As Aadya sipped her water, Navya gently took her hand, her eyes locked on hers. "Aadya, look at me," she whispered.

Aadya's gaze met Navya's, and she saw the tears welling up in her friend's eyes. Navya's touch was warm and comforting as she cradled Aadya's face in her hands.

"Tell me, who tried to hurt you?" she coaxed. "I swear on you Aadya, I will kill each and every person, whoever gives you trouble."

As Aadya gazed at Navya, she felt a pang of guilt, but it was quickly replaced by a warm sense of gratitude. She took Navya's hand in hers, her touch filled with affection. "You're my best friend, Navya," Aadya said, her voice filled with emotion. "You're the brightest light in my life."
