The village has been following this tradition of this Pooja for centuries. This Pooja is supposed to bring prosperity and good health.
Apparently the Thakur l family which has been living in this village for more than 6 generation, has been doing this ritual and most importantly the head of the family also who is also regarded as the Sarpanch of the village is supposed to this rituals.
A chamber enclosed below the Kali Mandir is opened for only 3 days before Dussehra. The chamber is cleaned and prepared for the havan that is done by the head of the Thakur Family.
There sat 7 priests and a big havan kund in the centre and the main Moorti of the Goddess which is prevented to be touched or visited by the people.
All the preparations for the havan has been done, and after a bath in the Kunda Thakur Rajeev The current head of the Thakur Family will proceed with the havan. The havan is completed in 3 stages.
The village deity is worshipped and offerings are done. After that the main havan is started which includes 100000+ aahutees, and at last the conclusion is done, the chamber is then again closed for the year.
The outside walls are sealed for the year and the narrow gate is closed.
