The next day came with a bright sunny sky with civilians either watching the news or talking about the attack on U.A. Meanwhile, inside an apartment building, an old man was sitting down with a plate full of fish-shaped pastries called Taiyaki. On the table next to him, laid a letter that of which he picked up to read. "Greetings. The air is warm here now that summer is around the corner. I hope that this letter gets to you well and in good health and spirits, sir. I took a position as a teacher at U.A High School for this semester, like you once did for me in the past. I initially was going to try and find someone powerful that was worthy of inheriting my power, but that changed after I met a young man before the school year even started. Despite being weak and quirkless, he showed extraordinary bravery when he rushed into a situation not even pros would work in, all to save a classmate. His actions taught me about the virtues I must embody to even call myself a hero. That's why I meant it when I told him: 'You too, can become a hero' and then I informed the boy of my quirk and offered to give it to him."
"He accepted it without a moment's hesitation, and we began training so he could overcome the trials he would face to enter the hero course. The kid, no matter what struggles he faces, always gives it 100 percent and never stops fighting to try and harness the power. After everything, I'd say I found the perfect successor for my quirk, but that also brings me to new issues. I'm sure you heard of the attack on the USJ, and how a group called the 'League of Villains' successfully attacked the school in hopes of killing me. Well after interrogating one of the people that were with them, we came to find out even more information, including something I dreaded for the past five years. All For One is still alive, and is the man behind this 'League of Villains'. Another thing we learned was that he had a son, but the strange thing is, that the boy was alive all the way back to the start of One For All. Turns out, he was killed along with the third user of the quirk, and was recently revived to become a weapon for the league."
"Right now, Tsukauchi has the boy in custody at the police station, trying to figure out what to do with him. The boy has somewhat of a sense of justice from what I witnessed at the USJ. If it wasn't for him suddenly breaking out of the league's control, I could've died. I do have an idea that I'm thinking of suggesting at the meeting I have at U.A later today. It's times like this that I wonder what you would say or do as advice, my old teacher. I know that soon, I will have to come to you for advice directly, so I'll count on your wisdom and patience if that time ever arrives. Please take care of yourself until then while I continue to update you on what's happening in the future. Sincerely yours"
"You really know how to find trouble, Toshinori. But good for you on finding a successor." The old man said before biting into his Taiyaki. "We're still trying to learn everything we can about this so-called 'League of Villains.' We made some progress, but still can't find anything on this Shigaraki character so far." Tsukauchi explained that, as he was standing in the middle of a meeting room, five different pro heroes were sitting at a U-shaped table, including All Might and the rat-bear creature from the USJ. "We've been looking for men in their 20s or 30s with a disintegration quirk in the registry, but nothing has come up. We did the same for the warp villain, Kurogiri, and got the same results." He continued as the pro heroes took in the information. "So we don't know anything is what you're really trying to say?" a man with white hair and a red hero suit said with a stern expression on his face. "Hold on, you mentioned the two villains that escaped, but what about the boy in custody? I remember hearing from one of the students that he was with this Shigaraki fellow, unlike the common criminals we apprehended." A woman, with raven-colored hair in a skin-tight white suit, asked while the other pro heroes looked up at the detective, who turned to look at All Might.
"He didn't mention him, because me and him interrogated the boy last night at the police station. Thanks to him, we learned some big-time information on the league." All Might explained as the others turned their attention to him. "The boy's name is Akayushi and he is a special case here." The teachers, excluding All Might, looked at the Detective with their eyebrows raised. "Oh? How so?" The rat-bear chimera asked with a smile on his face. "Well, for one, it turns out that the boy had his mind hardwired to follow the League's orders, making him a victim by technicality. Another thing is how old he really is, as we found out from the interrogation that he was born almost a century ago, close to the beginning of quirks." This news shocked the teachers as the rat-bear chimera only seemed to take a sip from a teacup it had by its side. "That's impossible! He's a teenager, he had to have lied!" "That's impossible, Vlad. Tsukauchi's quirk would prevent anyone from lying to him." All Might explained while the white-haired man turned to look at the skeleton of a man. "It's true, Vlad. Tsukauchi's quirk allows him to detect any false information, so if his quirk didn't pick anything up, then the boy was telling the truth. Though, I'm curious on how he can stay so young."
