The usually bustling road seemed quite today. Jungwon, a freshman at university, was heading to the bus stop after studying for hours in the library. Exhausted, he seated on the bus stop bench. He took out his phone to check the time. It was 8:12pm. Perplexed as to why the bus hadn't arrived yet, he checked the bus-tracker app. Frustrated, he let out a groan. " It's going to be 20 minutes late!" He exclaimed.
"Bang!" came a sound that felt louder than usual due to the quite environment. Then came another, followed by one more. Jungwon realized that the sound he could hear at a distance wasn't any disturbance, but a gunshot. What frightened him even more was that the sound seemed to be coming closer!
It didn't take time for a shoot-out to take place. Jungwon was quick to hide behind the bench. He was terrified as now he could see the shooters shooting. A quick thought slipped his mind, "What if I die today?". Before he could think further, he noticed a man, about 6 feet with a manly build, single-handedly handle the situation. He didn't seem like a cop. Jungwon watched the man in awe as he alone took down all the shooters. While he killed a few, the rest were left severely injured.
The man was about to leave the scene as he sat in his black car, until he noticed Jungwon. When Jungwon realized this, he subconsciously started shaking; afraid that the man would kill him too. But much to his surprise, the man offered help. "I can give you a ride home. The bus won't be arriving as the police by now would've stopped public services due to "safety reasons"" he said. His voice was husky, yet soothing. Not having much time to think, Jungwon quickly nodded.
It was very awkward during the ride. While Jungwon tried not to admire the stunning car that screamed luxury like a little kid, he couldn't help but stare at the mysterious man. He was wearing a Royal blue shirt, in which, Jungwon had to agree, he looked good in. The man did notice Jungwon staring at him but let him be.
Suddenly, a bullet hit a tire of the car. The car, losing its balance, managed to land at the side of the road. The man was quick to take action and grabbed a gun and headed out of the car. He, just like the previous time, was handling the situation well.
Meanwhile, Jungwon was seated in the car. He was unsure whether he wanted to stay put or try escaping. He checked the rear-view mirror of the car to see if there were any men who'd notice him escaping. But all the attention was towards the man, and nobody seemed to notice that Jungwon was sitting in the car.
Jungwon made his decision to escape the scene. He had a plan ready in his mind, and slowly opened the car door. He had almost made his way to the forest path, which was adjoining the street the car was parked on, until "bang!" Someone had shot Jungwon.
