"Thought you'd take the day off after the riot" Michael says
"I tried trust me no one would cover plus need to be here " I say
"I hope you don't think you owe me?"
"Michael of course I do. God knows what they would've done if I didn't get up there" I explain "I do owe you"
"Rylan. No you dont" He chuckled "you never will" He walks away
Next day warden came to my office.
"Rylan. After what happened in the riot this is an apology and a... Happy birthday " He gives me flowers and Mikey came in.
"Got an admirer?" He asks
"No its from the warden..." He looks confused "it's my birthday" I sigh
"Oh. Rylan I'm so sorry I forgot"
"It's fine you've got more on your plate right now" I shake the feeling off of me
"Haooy birthday rylan. Once we get out of here I'll get you a present"
"Trust me Lincoln and you out would be enough" I smile
"I've got PI soon."
"Lincolns next so he'll be late"
"Lincoln?"
"Death row inmates need a checkup once a week a month before death date" I explain
"This'll be his first time seeing you then"
"Yup" I say "emts helped with his injuries after the riot because I needed a checkup too."
"Good luck" He leaves
