Carter
"Miss Hall, would you care to explain why you're out of dress code?" Mr. Gold scolded, at the start of his lesson.

"I got new boots, like em'?" I questioned, sticking out my foot for emphasis.

"Hardly," he sneered, turning up his nose. I raised my pierced eyebrow in annoyance.

"I think Mrs. Brown would like them. Don't you?" I insinuated, raising my eyes to gaze into his innocently.

"I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about Miss Hall." he said, a little less confidently this time.

"I think the hickey on your neck is all the proof I need." I smiled, putting in only one earbud.

Flustered and unnerved, Mr. Gold continued his lesson and didn't bother me once after that. I turned my head a little more to the side and caught the amazed stare of the new girl. I smirked to myself and began tapping my pencil to the beat of my music.

Class ended and I hurried out of the classroom only to turn around and wait patiently by the lockers until the new girl exited the room as well. Once I saw her, I signaled for her to walk with me. She ran to catch up with me and smiled when she was finally next to me.

"So, you're the fresh meat everyone has been talking about?" I teased.

"I guess I am," she answered sheepishly.

"How was New York?" I asked, watching as her eyes widened in surprise.

"H-how'd you know I lived in New York." she stammered.

"I can smell it on you."

Then I walked away. Leaving a flustered new girl in my wake.

Lacey
As the gorgeous Carter Hall walked away from me all I could think was, What the hell?

I looked down at my schedule and saw that in neat handwriting, there was a phone number across the top of the paper. I smiled to myself and walked to my next class.

Third Person
The girls went their separate ways, Lacey feeling giddy and strange, Carter feeling emotionless and drained. Soon, school was over and the only thing Carter wanted to do was go home and sleep. So as soon as the final bell rang, that's what she did. Lacey spent a good 20 minutes after school, looking for the turquoise haired teen, but no matter how hard she looked she couldn't find her.

In her journey to find Carter, Lacey ran into a group of boys that had been eyeing her at lunch. Lacey approached the group excitedly, hoping to find something out about her crush's whereabouts.

"Carter Hall? Yeah we know her, she's a spitfire that one." The tallest boy grinned, giving Lacey the impression that he had slept with Carter.

"We got into an argument once, she knocked me straight on my ass from her first punch," the boy clarified, giving Lacey a look that insinuated he wanted to sleep with her.

"Why are so interested new girl? Carter Hall hates newbies, she chews them up and spits them out from day one. She's basically Dalton High's Alpha Female" the seemingly youngest boy, of the group asked. Lacey noticed that all three boys were sharing a look that seemed strangely feral.

Lacey felt her world crumble.

Hates newbies? She thought sadly.

"So what's your name pretty girl." The 'leader' of the group asked, stepping forward and touching Lacey's shoulder.

"Lacey." She answered.

"Lacey. Wanna come home with me Lacey?"

"No...I have someone I have to meet. I'm sorry." She said and quickly turned on her heel and stalked to her car. With one longing glance back at the school, she drove off.
