the staff instructed everyone to form neat lines before ushering you outside toward the buses that would take you to the blue lock facility. after a long ride, you finally arrived, the atmosphere buzzing with a mix of nerves and excitement.
upon stepping inside the facility, the staff handed each of you a set of clothes and assigned everyone to individual rooms.
"change into these as soon as possible," one staff member instructed, leaving no room for argument.
the outfit itself was an athletic suit, primarily navy blue with vibrant geometric patterns in lighter shades of blue. honestly, it looked like someone's failed attempt at fashion.
'yeah, no way in hell i'm wearing this,' you grimaced, holding the outfit between your fingers like it might bite. the design was terrible, and you couldn't help but wonder what kind of sadist came up with it.
you sighed, half-seriously considering quitting right then and there. it almost didn't feel worth it. but before you could let that thought settle, a voice from outside the changing room called out, telling you to hurry up.
with a resigned sigh, you finally caved. reluctantly, you started putting the suit on. once dressed, you stepped out of the room, still uncomfortable but glad to be done with it.
surprisingly, despite how ugly it looked, the suit was incredibly lightweight and fit your body perfectly. it was almost as if it was designed specifically for you. if only it didn't look like a bad futuristic tracksuit.
with a sigh, you made your way to room z, where you'd finally meet your teammates.
maybe reo and nagi would be here. maybe not.

you arrived at the door, and as it automatically opened, you took in the scene. the room was a bland, metal-padded space with a large screen on one side and lockers on the other. inside, you saw mostly unfamiliar faces, except for three people -- bachira, who was already asleep on the floor, the white-haired guy who argued with ego earlier, and the dark blue-haired guy who had run through the door first.
'oh? this is gonna be interesting,' you thought as you stepped inside. everyone turned to look at you, curious as to who you were. of course, they wouldn't know -- you'd only recently started playing soccer, not enough to make an impact.
after a few seconds, they lost interest and returned to whatever they were doing. some were chatting in low voices, while others lazed around, waiting for something to happen. you found a corner to sit in and quietly observed the rest of the group.
in front of you, a clean-shaven guy was clutching the hands of the white-haired boy, excitedly fussing over him. "are you the kira ryosuke? wow, it's really you!" he said in awe.
kira, visibly uncomfortable, tried to offer a polite smile. "uh... yes?"
"nice to meet you! my name's igarashi gurimu!" the excited guy let go of kira's hands, pointing at himself like he was announcing his presence to the whole room. kira hesitantly responded, "oh... nice to meet you."
igarashi took that as an invitation to share more. "my family runs a temple, but i really don't want to take over the family business. when i heard about this, i couldn't stop shaking. this feels like my chance to change my life!"
as igarashi continued his personal monologue, you sighed. you weren't easily annoyed, but something about him irked you. he was like a living, breathing anime character trying to be the protagonist of this story.
