The sound of footsteps echoed through the desolate streets. Hiroki wandered aimlessly, lost in the maze of his thoughts, far from the life he once knew. His heart was heavy with betrayal—abandoned by those closest to him. Nao, the love of his life, his sister Kanoko, his mother Kaede, and his childhood friend Ayumu had all cast him aside for Kokujin, the very bully who tormented him. Hiroki had nothing left, no one to turn to.

But he kept walking.

It was on one of those lonely nights, deep in the wilderness, when he encountered a monster. Its dark claws raked across his face, leaving a deep scar over his right eye. The pain was blinding, but it awakened something inside him—something dormant, waiting to be unleashed.

Over the years, Hiroki faced countless monsters, his encounters shaping him into something more than human. With each battle, his strength grew, his speed quickened, and his mind sharpened. He became known as the world's strongest man, though he lived a solitary life, honing his newfound powers far away from the civilization that had betrayed him.

Years later, Hiroki returned to the city he once called home. His heart beat steadily with the power of his King Engine, a sound that made the ground tremble and enemies cower.

Hiroki's Return

Hiroki walked through the familiar streets, his imposing figure cloaked in shadows. His scarred eye only added to the aura of intimidation that surrounded him. He headed for his old home, where Kaede, Kanoko, and Ayumu lived, unaware of the man Hiroki had become.

He knocked on the door, and after a few moments, it creaked open. His mother, Kaede, stood in the doorway, her eyes widening as she recognized the face of the son she thought she'd lost.

"H-Hiroki?" Kaede's voice was shaky, her hands trembling. "Is it really you?"

"Yeah," Hiroki's voice was deep, cold, almost unrecognizable. "I'm back."

Kaede collapsed to her knees, tears streaming down her face. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry, Hiroki... We—Kanoko and I—we didn't know what we were doing. We were wrong."

Hiroki looked down at his mother. "It's too late for that."

The Confrontation

As Hiroki entered the house, Kanoko and Ayumu rushed to the door, their faces pale with shock and guilt. The weight of their past betrayals bore down on them. They had spent years living with regret, wishing they could undo the harm they had caused.

"Hiroki," Kanoko whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "I've hated myself every day for what I did to you."

"Save it," Hiroki cut her off, his voice like ice. "I didn't come here for apologies."

Ayumu stepped forward, guilt etched on his face. "We never stopped thinking about you, Hiroki. We made a horrible mistake, and we've paid for it every day."

"Good," Hiroki said coldly. "I hope it hurt."

He turned to leave, not giving them another chance to speak. The years of betrayal had left deep scars, not just on his face but on his soul. But just as he was about to walk out the door, Kanoko reached out.

"Wait!" she cried. "What will you do now?"

Hiroki paused, his back to them. "I've already moved on. There's someone else in my life now."

Nao's Regret

As Hiroki left his old home, he headed for the final person who had betrayed him: Nao. She was still with Kokujin, the man she had left him for. But unlike the others, Nao hadn't realized the weight of her actions—until now.
