BRANDON TATE

"Sir it is time for your 8 am meeting." my secretary Ryan says through the intercom.

"Okay keep the ESFC waiting in meeting room 4. And I want Ally to be present along with Fred. Call her." I say as I get up from my chair and put on my coat.

"Right away sir."

I walk out of my cabin, shortly followed by Ryan and as we enter the lift, we get joined by Ally, the head of IT.

"Good morning Mr. Tate. Ryan." she tips her specs back up looking as grave as ever.

"Morning." I reply back.

She is a 35 something blonde wearing specs with the seriousness and sense of humor of a rock. She is a no nonsense workaholic who can program an app for your phone in 5 days and hack into your system in less than 5 hours.

She used to intimidate me but not anymore.

Fred is the head of security. He is more social and amicable. He is around 28 and one of my good friends.

As we reach the meeting room, I get a call from Henry. I frown and turn to Ryan "Keep them busy, I'll be there in a minute."

I walk to the empty part of the corridor and answer the call "Loser?"

"No I'm not loser I'm Honey!" I smile as I hear my baby's voice. I can hear a faint "Hey!" from Hen in the background.

"Brandon I can't find my phone, or my iPad or my laptop! Did I leave those at your place?"

"No I took them with me, I'm going to bug them so that I can track you when I'm in Cape town. I left a note on your table. Didn't you read it?" I ask.

"Note? No-" I hear some shuffling and then "Ooohhh, no I didn't read this, I was late so I rushed for a shower... aaanyways. I'll talk to you later! I'm late. Bye!"

I smile "Bye princess. I love you."

I can almost see her blush and her smile "I love you too." Her shy, quiet reply makes me chuckle as I give her a kiss through the phone and then see Ryan looking at me embarrassed.

Shit.

"Uh.. sir... They are asking for you. Mrs. Karev has also arrived." he mutters.

I swallow and nod as I cut the call "Does Ally have the devices?"

"Yes sir." I nod and get in to see a middle aged man in a suit, with three women. Judging by their attire, one maybe his secretary and the other two, bodyguards for me to see.

They get up from their seats and I shake hands with the guy "Brandon Tate. Welcome to Tate Industries."

His handshake is firm. Good.
"It's a pleasure. Frank Luca, G.M. for Elite Security Force Company. This is my wife and secretary Jay Luca and they are Lily and Alex, my top female bodyguards."

Once all the niceties are done, we sit and get down to business.

"I would require two full time, straight, female bodyguards to look after my girlfriend, Ms. Samuels, for a minimum period of 4 months. If she and I are satisfied with your services, we could make them permanent after I return from a business trip."

Mr. Luca looked rather shocked by my blunt request and took a few seconds to compose himself and then replied "That can be arranged. What do you say, we can start with Lily and Alex here. They both have top notch training and have experience in guarding before too. And they both are straight."
