"HEY BEBÉ. WANNA go down to the pitch?" I ask Elsie, leaning down to her height. She claps her hands together and nods excitedly.

Elsie and I had flown over to Barcelona for the start of the season. One, for a change of scenery. London can be a bit boring sometimes. Two, to support my cousin for the football season.

Elsie had always loved it when Fermin came to England to visit us. He was one of her favourite people, except me of course.

She loved it when I put the football on the tv and he appeared on screen.

"Come on then." I say, picking up Elsie in my arms. She wrapped her little arms around my neck, securing herself.

I made my way out of the VIP section and over to a few security guards. I politely asked them if it was okay for me to go onto the pitch now the game had ended. They said it was and escorted me over.

Barcelona had won the game 4-0. It really was a good game for them. And a good season so far.

"Here you go." The security guards who escorted me down said, making way for me to walk in the pitch.

"Thank you very much." I say, smiling kindly at the guard.

"Thank you." Elsie said, waving her hand at the security guard. He smiled and waved back at her, making her laugh. I smiled, pressing a short kiss on my daughter's head.

I let Elsie out of my arms as soon as I stepped on the pitch. I watched as she looked around the pitch trying to find Fermin.

"I can see him, mami." She says excitedly. She reaches her hand up to mine and grabs onto my finger, pulling me in the direction of him and a few of his team mates.

"Go run up to him, Els." I say. She giggles at me and runs off in the direction of him, yelling out his name.

I watch him turn around. A smile falls on his face before he bends down to catch Elsie in her run. She jumps into his arms. He picks her up and spins her around, giving her a hug. He whispers something to her and she points over to me.

I walk up to him a smile on my face. "Hey." I say.

"Hi, Amaia." Fermin says, holding onto Elsie with one arm, his other going over my shoulder to hug me. "Can't believe you're here."

"Surprise." I say, shrugging. I look over his shoulder to two other people, his friends Pedri and Gavi.

Fermin follows my gaze and looks at them. "Oh yeah, Pedri, Gavi, this is my cousin Amaia, and her daughter, Elsie." Elsie waved over to the two of them shyly. They both smiled at her before looking back at me. "Amaia, these are my friends Pedri and Gavi."

"It's nice to meet you." I say to them, smiling politely.

"Nice to meet you too." Gavi said, smiling back at me.

"Yeah." Pedri agreed.

Fermin leaned down to put Elsie on the ground. She walked over to me and wrapped her arm around my leg.
