chapter 2

" how are you going to start the car without anyone hearing us?" i asked as we got in the jeep.
"don't worry, nobody will hear us." cody said starting the car and backing out of the driveway.
i glanced out the window and started to shake. why? I didn't know. I can trust cody, he wouldn't do anything to put me in danger.
"Y/n? you okay?" he said putting his hand on my thigh.
I jerked "what? oh yeah im fine." I assured him.
"are you sure?" he said "it's going to be okay. nothing's going to happen I promise."
i pushed the elbow rest up so I could set a pillow and lay down with my arm around codys waist.
"just relax princess, i promise, you're going to enjoy this. i just wanted us to get away for a while." he said while i began to fall asleep. my eyes were getting heavy. and eventually i fell asleep and woke up about 2 hours later because i noticed we were stopped.
i looked up at cody.
"why are we stopped?" I questioned.
"we're at the airport. get your bag. we have a flight to catch." he said as i sat up in my seat.
"cody where are we going? im not getting up until you tell me." i said glaring at him.
"fuck. fine. I'm taking you to hawaii." he mumbled. "it was supposed to be our anniversary surprise but it's not anymore."
i looked around, confused, then stated "oh... but why hawaii? it's so far.." I said moving my hair out of my face.
"because, you always talk about going there and how much you love it." he said looking at me. "and i wanted to make you happy."

"but i don't need to go somewhere to be happy, im happy as long as i have you." I said kissing him on the cheek. "but if you insist we go, then lets go. I'd rather spend it with you then with anyone else."
