Chapter 2 - Akutagawa and Oda

Beast world

Akutagawa was in the cafe at the detective agency with Oda-san. It was actually a coincidence that they met. Akutagawa was slowly sipping his tea when one of the barista came holding a package. 

"Akutagawa-kun, I think you have a package." he said and handed him the package.

'Who would send me a package? Is it Gin? Most probably.' he thought to himself as he slowly opened the package.

It was a book. Akutagawa was  surprised and was confused. He opened it and was shocked to see that it was empty. 'Maybe it was a prank?' He was about to throw it out when he saw a line appear in the last page. 'Ryūnosuke Akutagawa and Sakunosuke Oda get transported to the world outside the book.' 

Just as he finished reading it, with a bright flash, both Akutagawa and Oda disappeared. When the flash was gone, both Akutagawa and Oda checked their surroundings. 

"What is happening here?" Akutagawa asked.

"What did you get in that package? I suspect that's the reason we're here." Oda-san replied.

"It was a book. Wait.........I think I get it. This is the world outside the book!" Akutagawa exclaimed. 

"This is bad. This is very bad." Oda-san murmured. 

"I know that!" Akutagawa snapped.

"Not that! Well that as well but I meant the place we landed at! I just realized, we're in Port-Mafia territory." Oda-san replied.

"So what? The man in black is dead, Jinko and Kyoka are in their old orphanage, The gravity manipulator Chuuya is as good as retired. What's there to be afraid of?" Akutagawa asked.

"You seem to forget that we are in an Alternate Universe. For all we know, none of that has happened yet or maybe Port-Mafia has an even worse boss than the man in black." Oda said as if on queue, just as he finished a knife hit the wall missing both Akutagawa's and Oda's face by an inch.   

"Who are you and what business do you have in port-mafia's territory? asked a female voice. 

Behind them stood two women. One had blond hair trapped in a bun and the other had her face covered with a mask but as soon as they turned, both of them gave a gasp of surprise.

"Nii-san?" The masked woman asked.

"Akutagawa- senpai?" The blond woman asked at the same time.

"Nee Higuchi-san? Do you think it's about the meeting the other day?" The masked woman asked the blond one, who's name apparently was Higuchi.

"I think so. Let's take them to Boss. He would know what to do." Higuchi replied.

"Oi! What do you mean by Nii-san and senpai?" beast Akutagawa asked.

"You'll know soon enough if you follow us." The masked woman said. 

"Let's trust them for now." Oda-san said.

The four of them walked to a building. As they climbed the stairs, both Beast Akutgawa and Beast Oda noticed that the building was pretty much the same as it was in their world. 

They walked through a door and was shocked to find the that the man sitting in the head table was no the man in the black but it was someone totally unexpected. 

"Mori-san?" Both of the beast duos asked in surprise. 

"My my, what a pleasant surprise? I suppose Fyodor is making a move faster than we expected." Mori said smiling.
