As the final seminar ended, Logan grabbed his bag and headed home, the sky slowly painting itself in shades of gold and crimson. By the time he reached his front door, the sun was sinking below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the neighborhood. He paused for a moment, taking in the beauty of the sunset before stepping inside.

But once he crossed the threshold, his sense of peace vanished. The air felt different, charged with an unsettling energy that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. He hesitated, scanning the dim hallway, confusion knotting in his stomach.

"Something feels off," Logan murmured, his brow furrowed. "It's like there's a shift in the air. Almost magical." The thought thrilled him, reminding him of the fantastical worlds in anime where mystical forces appeared out of nowhere. He imagined shimmering swords conjured from thin air, their blades sparkling with power. It felt so real, as if a hologram hovered in front of him.

Suddenly, a swirl of water appeared, forming a gigantic sword that reflected the dim hallway light.

"Is this real?" Logan gasped, reaching out to touch it. But as his fingers brushed against the sword, it dissolved into a rush of water, flooding the entrance and soaking the shoe rack.

Just then, Mason Walker, Logan's roommate, rushed into the hallway, wide-eyed. "What happened here, Logan?" he exclaimed, taking in the chaotic scene.

Logan barely noticed Mason; his mind raced with excitement. "It's possible! It's really possible!" he exclaimed, heart pounding with discovery. "I can finally achieve my dreams!"

Mason looked confused, not understanding the magnitude of what Logan meant. "Alright, come on now, pull yourself together," Mason said. But Logan was lost in his thoughts. He extended his hand, a confident grin on his face.

"Watch this!" he declared, imagining a fireball appearing in his palm. He focused, trying to summon energy, but his first attempt fizzled out, leaving him frustrated. "Come on, don't ruin the pose!" he muttered.

Determined, Logan closed his eyes again, picturing flames spiraling outward before coming together again. When he opened his eyes, a small fireball glowed in his palm.

"Wow, it worked!" he cheered, pride swelling within him. He turned to Mason, who stood speechless, eyes darting between the magic and the soaked floor.

"What's happening here?" Mason finally managed to ask, disbelief on his face.

"Get ready, Mason!" Logan exclaimed, filled with excitement.

"Ready? For what? And what was that just now?" Mason asked, even more confused.

"Magic!" Logan declared, gesturing dramatically. "The world is changing! This is just the beginning!"

"Magic, like in movies?" Mason asked, incredulous.

"Exactly! It's like God is playing with us," Logan said, wonder shining in his eyes.

But as the thrill faded, Logan realized explaining this to Mason would be a challenge. The excitement of discovery mixed with uncertainty, and the two friends stood on the edge of an unknown world, their lives about to change in ways they could hardly imagine.
