Hermione stumbled out into the courtyard, her chest heaving with the weight of all her tangled emotions. The cool October air did little to calm her; it merely brushed against her flushed skin. She couldn't keep walking the halls of Hogwarts like this—feeling like some alien presence had taken over, her mind constantly wandering in directions she couldn't understand, and her eyes... Merlin, her eyes. Every time she let her guard down, they seemed to seek out the curves of the girls around her—their lips, their breasts, the way their skirts swished as they walked.

She needed to be alone. She needed space to think, to breathe. Without another thought, Hermione made her way to the far corner of the courtyard, where the Beast Classroom lay silent and unused for the day. Hagrid didn't have any lessons scheduled, and she knew this part of the grounds would be deserted.

As soon as she was behind the classroom, shielded by its walls and the dense trees beyond, Hermione collapsed onto the ground, her back pressed against the rough stone. She drew her knees up to her chest, burying her face in her hands as the tears she'd been holding back finally spilled over. Her whole body trembled with frustration, confusion, and shame. She didn't know what to do anymore.

How could this have happened to me? she thought desperately, fingers digging into her hair. The changes weren't just physical now; they were taking over her mind, warping the way she saw the world. Boys, once a distant but occasional distraction, now held little to no appeal. Instead, her thoughts were consumed by... girls. Their bodies, the way they moved, the heat that stirred in her whenever she let her gaze linger too long on Ginny, or Lavender, or Luna.

Gods, she thought, squeezing her eyes shut. I'm losing myself.

No matter how much she tried to fight it, the desires were growing stronger. She could barely sit next to her friends without feeling her stomach twist in knots. What if they found out? What if they could see the way she looked at them? The very thought made her nauseous.

Her breaths were shallow, shaky, as she hugged herself tighter. I'll never be normal again. This thing between my legs... the way I'm thinking, it's not me. I don't even recognize myself anymore. The hopelessness of it all washed over her in waves, suffocating and cold. She wanted to scream, to tear out the feelings that had lodged themselves deep in her chest, but all she could do was sit there, trembling, her tears falling silently onto her robe.

"Hermione."

The sound of her name being called startled her. She lifted her head, her heart lurching in her chest as her gaze snapped to the source of the voice.

It was Luna.

Luna Lovegood, with her dreamy smile and that same curious glint in her wide, silvery eyes, was walking toward her, seemingly oblivious to the turmoil that raged inside Hermione. The Ravenclaw's long, blonde hair cascaded over her shoulders in loose waves, catching the sunlight as she approached, her steps light and unhurried, as though she had all the time in the world.
