Warning: bad poc y/n tropes

If there was one thing Y/n is known for amongst their friend group, and one that they are embarrassed to admit to, is that they loved boy bands.

And not to the extent where people might find them crazy or even creepy....

I mean I'm totally lying, of course people call them weird for knowing a lot about boybands, and they were pretty sure no one wanted to hear each member's backstory and their interests after being kicked out of a party too many times.

Though despite that, Y/n had many other interests, and despite being literally labeled as the 'BoyBand Bible', she received many friends from her endeavors, friends who were like her and who they were eternally grateful that they put up with their bullshit about gushing about how extensive and complex each boyband was.

There was Trevor, a jokester and hilarious guy who never failed to make Y/n choke on their food from his jokes, he was a showboat and not once did he fail on getting in trouble for shit he caused back when they were in highschool. Though he was a nice energetic guy that was cheerleader of the group, ready to pump the team up, even if it ends with them being chased by the police one time.

There was Ramiro, a transfer student turned great friend after Y/n introduced him to her friend group, Ramiro was rather amazed at the concept of BoyBands though he was rather more interested in the designs of their outfits and how they reflected their personality. Y/n however was ecstatic about having a boy friend who was actually eager to learn about boybands. But he was more interested in cooking and pursuing his interests of owning a restaurant business.

There was Chika, another transfer student back in the early days of their friendship, not as interested in boybands, though she found Y/n's extensive knowledge on Boybands to be endearing, and also hilarious since Y/n managed to make her laugh at the humorous stuff that was apart of Boybands. Chika was rather very happy about being in the states, rather amazed to see how nice and friendly people actually were in American high schools and how tasty the food was. There were times where Chika stuffed a lot of American snacks so she could send them back her family in Japan.

There was Evelyn, the studious one, the one with the plan, the girl that was very ambitious and a rule follower, she was surprisingly shy for someone ambitious when Y/n first met her. Evelyn was quiet, never really cared to speak until after a while, Evelyn showed her true colors, her own interests of trains and mechanics, and her attitude being a bit sassy in a funny way.

And then finally, her friend since her early years of highschool, Margot, a writer, a friend, and most recently, have received success on her latest book, despite her young age and fresh out of college. And to celebrate, the group of friends were at her place, brought over snacks, and cake along with her favorites she enjoyed.

But as for entertainment.....

"Alright alright.... 'Chocolate skin', jot that one down!" Said Trevor as he instantly deleted the fanfiction he had on the computer while Y/n nodded and put a tally mark on the whiteboard while Margot only pumped her fists up in victory while Chika pouted as she handed her 5 dollars to Margot.

Yep, as per Margot requested, she decided to do a tally on the fanfics that she used to read when she was younger and when she didn't realized that the characters that were supposed to represent her, were stereotypes.

"You have got to be kidding me Margot, with this amount I'm surprised that these fanfics are popular...." Hissed Y/n as he looked so embarrassed but also trying hard not to wheeze at how lacking it was to just not mention food to represent skin tones.
