This story, is based on truth. I am the one in this story.

God has a cruel way of teaching us a lesson, it hurts but we learn.

There was a boy, a teenager, who felt so lonely that he decided everyday that he would pray for his soulmate. The one for him.

He began at 14 years old, everyday he would pray, hoping he would finally recieve her.

He did date however, one gf at 15 emotionally abused him and cheated on him, another at 16 verbally abused him and embarrassed him.

He didn't stop praying though, however at around age 17, this boy slowed down the prayers and decided to just wait and focus on himself.

Two months before he was about to turn 18, he met someone. Someone so beautiful, so amazing, someone so compatible with him that he could be himself around her.

Finally, he thought, his soulmate had arrived.

Everyday he would profess his love to her, telling her shes the one and being so happy and blind in love that he felt amazing himself.

She was different than his exes, they were mediocre people. She on the otherhand, was if she was a gift from God. Compatible with him in everyway, they sang their favorite songs which they shared and they would always tell each other they loved them.

4 months would go by of this beautiful relationship until one day, disaster struck.

Someone else reached out to him, asking if the boy was dating the same girl this random person was also dating. The boy confirmed and after sharing information, the boy was deeply heartbroken. Throughout the day, he learned this girl not only cheated on him, but with several different people. Each she would play a different personality, each she would tell them the most amazing things and blind them.

The boy, was devasted. Not only that, he learned she cheated on him the entire time. She was already seeing other people when she proposed they become a couple.

Soon, it fell apart. He confronted her and she ghosted him. He had finally lost her, the girl he loved so much wasn't even real. She was a different person who liked pulling the strings.

The girl he knew, was an illusion all along.

His heartbroken even worse than his exes, he could never forgive her. She now had the title of the worst girlfriend he ever had, he wished he never met her.

That day, he learned a valuable lesson. Soulmates don't exist, even if you find one person who is so compatible with you its scary, disaster may lie ahead. He would never see another girl as beautiful as she was and he possibly may never love the same again. 3 strikes to the heart, had changed him.

He stopped praying for the one, feeling as if the "one" was given to him only to show him that there is no "one".

Loving someone, who never truly existed, is one of the worst feelings.

The boy was left, feeling disenchanted. He no longer knew what he wanted, he no longer felt hope for his one and only, seeing other couples makes him wonder their end date. It all felt fake to him.

Would it be better if we were just animals, only reproducing out of necessity?

But being an animal, would be admitting defeat. If soulmates don't exist then don't try waiting for the one anymore. Instead, focus on someone who will ride out hell with you and grow together instead. It doesn't matter if they don't enjoy the same things as you do or if they are the most beautiful person on Earth. What matters is, if they are willing to be loyal to you and try their best. Only then, will you have created a soulmate. When we die and cross over, the labours of your relationship will bear fruit for enternity in the next realm.
