As Amyrah stepped into the conference hall, a wave of mixed emotions washed over her. The room was bright, illuminated by the overhead lights that cast a warm glow on the polished wooden tables arranged in a semicircle. Rows of eager interns filled the seats, their murmurs creating an undercurrent of excitement and anxiety.

She spotted Neha near the front and made her way over, slipping into the seat beside her. Neha flashed a reassuring smile, and Amyrah felt a slight easing of the tension in her chest. As they settled in, the Head of Department (HOD) walked to the front, his presence commanding immediate attention. With a reassuring yet authoritative demeanor, he welcomed everyone and explained the day's agenda.

"Today, we will be assigning team leaders for your rotations," he announced, his voice steady and clear. "These leaders will guide you through your practical training and ensure you receive the best possible experience."

As he began calling out names, Amyrah held her breath, her heart racing with each announcement. "Team A: Dr.Anjali Patel!" The tall, confident residence stood and took her place at the front with a bright smile. The HOD continued, listing names until he finally said, "Team D:Dr.Zahrun Nawaz." the team D's lively interest instantly evaporated.

Relief washed over her when she heard her team with a different leader, a group she hoped would foster growth and support. The thought of working under Dr. Zahrun was daunting, and the idea of being in a different team gave her hope. She exchanged an excited glance with Neha, who whispered, "We got this!"

But just as the flutter of excitement settled in her chest, the HOD glanced down at his papers, a furrow forming between his brows. "However, it seems we have a last-minute adjustment. Amyrah, we need to move you to Team D. We have some problems."

A chill ran down Amyrah's spine as the implications of this change sank in. "Team D...," she murmured, feeling the dread creeping in. Dr. Zahrun was the leader of that team—a fact that now loomed ominously over her.

As she made her way to the front to join Team D, her heart pounded in her chest, but she steeled herself, determined to make the best of this situation. She introduced herself to the group, trying to project confidence despite her growing apprehension.

"Hi, I'm Amyrah," she said, offering a tentative smile.

"Nice to meet you!" a few voices chimed back. Among them was a girl with bright eyes and a wide smile who seemed particularly eager to impress. "Isn't Dr. Zahrun amazing? I've heard he's the best surgeon in the department! His skills are unparalleled; I can't wait to learn from him!"Amyrah felt a knot forming in her stomach as the praises flowed.

The guy she met earlier in the canteen shakes his head in disbelief "i am Arif, this is Zaynab and this lad is Hassan". Amyrah smiles. However, the girl's enthusiasm seemed to hang in the air like an uninvited guest, especially when Dr. Zahrun himself entered the room. He surveyed the group with a sharp, discerning gaze, and Amyrah could almost feel the temperature drop.

"Ah, my new team," Dr. Zahrun said, his voice smooth yet laced with a hint of arrogance. "I hope you're all ready to work hard. I expect excellence—no exceptions."As the introductions continued, the atmosphere shifted. "Dr. Zahrun!" Zaynab exclaimed, her voice bubbling with enthusiasm. "I just wanted to say how incredibly pleased I am to have the opportunity to work with you. I've heard so much about your expertise and skills. It's truly an honor!"
