For a very long time, or what would be considered a long time for Chuuya, he's known that Dazai has mentored Akutagawa. Dazai and Akutagawa only had a two year difference though, so Chuuya's always believed that Dazai was humane, at least slightly, with his teachings. To be honest, Chuuya has never really trusted Dazai with kids, or anyone under his wing in general. Ruthless, dangerous, a demon, the bosses right hand man, the youngest executive in Port Mafia history, a genius.. Those were all titles Dazai had captured over time. Titles that, quite frankly, aren't ideal for someone who is expected to take care of and mentor over someone with the mental state that Ryunosuke had found himself in.
Even though he didn't know exactly what was happening, he always was suspicious of Dazai and Akutagawa's dynamic. Akutagawa acted like a doll for Dazai, essentially. He'd do anything Dazai demanded, and had the loyalty of a dog. Yet.. He sometimes trembled, and Chuuya has overheard Dazai saying.. Questionable things. But, it wasn't his business, now was it? And it's not like he wanted to deal with Dazai's shit anyway.... Besides, he knew that even if he tried to figure out what was happening, Dazai would catch on. To add on, Chuuya has heard about rumors circling from lower members that Dazai was abusing Akutagawa, sometimes, more than necessary, even to the mafia's standards, with taunts as well. However, Chuuya never exactly believed that. It's not unbelievable for Dazai to do, but they were all just lower members. If Dazai were really doing that, wouldn't he want to keep that from prying eyes? Or did Chuuya just want that to be the case?
Either way, he found out the truth eventually. And it wasn't ideal.

"That fucking jackass," complained Chuuya, crumbling up a packet of thick newspapers like they were nothing, "He just wanted to give me more work, didn't he? Forcing me to join, harassing me, and then, just suddenly leaving!"
It's been around a few weeks since Dazai left, and the mafia essentially considered him 'dead', or 'missing'. The boss, Mori, simply said he must've ran away, or something of the such. Chuuya is one of those who agrees. (Though, he complains daily about his disappearance.)
"Not to mention that he blew up my car.. I mean, it wasn't hard to replace, but it still pissed me off, y'know..?" He asked, looking to the side at the man he was ranting to, Ryunosuke Akutagawa. Typically, Ryunosuke would be a good listener, but since Dazai's disappearance, he's been on edge, found muttering to himself sometimes, biting his nails. Right now, he was listening rather well..
"..Yes, I understand. I'd be rather upset myself, Nakahara-san," Akutagawa replied, but despite his stoic expression, his tone didn't sound so certain.. Likely because it was Dazai they were talking about.
To be completely honest, Akutagawa was usually pretty weird, when talking about Dazai. Not in the sense that he seemed to hate him, but instead, he usually seemed pretty nervous. Almost like he was distracted, and at the same time, mad. But it was also clear just how much he looked up to him. Even more so, recently.
However, because Dazai just up and left the mafia, Akutagawa was left without a mentor, and worst of all, he wasn't fully trained yet. So, Chuuya decided that he'd offer to help train him, if he needed him to.
With a quiet chuckle, Chuuya began, "Yeah, that's good- the more anger directed towards him, the better." He paused, but soon went on, "Y'know, I heard that since Dazai left, you won't have a mentor. So I figured I'd just say, if you have any questions, you can come to me. Besides, I'm the most skilled guy in the mafia anyway."
