Chapter 2: All is well?

*Dipper's pov*

I still feel very bad because of what I've done to Pacifica, maybe acting that way wasn't the right move. Even if I wanted to make it up to her I'm still unable to express or do anything about it.
Maybe the best way to do this is with a hug? That's what Mabel always does to me when we argue or get upset and we call it "Awkward siblings hug".

I get closer to her and wrap my arms around her, she felt really warm and smells so nice, like champagne and flowers. I'm not judging why she isn't hugging me back, honestly if I were in her place I wouldn't respond either.

After a few minutes she finally loosens up a bit, it was all just her resting her head on my shoulder, to me it was more than enough as if she has calmed down a bit. I'm not gonna ask her about it, let her sit in silence, but mostly I'm scared she notices and gets off me.

Her breathing is getting slower by the minute, I'm not saying that's abnormal but I think I should check up on her. I slowly let go of her and maintain eye contact.
"Pacifica? Are you alright?"
"Yes Dipper I am. Thanks for staying" She spoke as if she feels ashamed she made him wait until she felt like talking to him again.
"It's okay Paz, I still feel guilty about what I've done y'know, so do you think you could forget about it and maybe just forgive me this time?" I gave her an awkward smile
Pacifica gave a small nod before she spoke "It's alright I think I'll let it pass just this once" Then she got closer to me returning to her old position by resting her head on my shoulder.
I slowly place my hand under her chin and lift her head up to the point where she's looking directly at me
"So Paz, ready to go now to your parents? They must be worried about us, we're making them wait"
Pacifica nods slowly
I get up from my place and extends my arm out to help Pacifica get up. She takes my hand and gets up but then immediately lets go of my hand.
