Part 9: Kidnapped

The world spun around you, darkness enveloping your vision as you slowly regained consciousness. A dull ache throbbed at your temples, and the remnants of last night’s laughter felt like a distant memory. Panic shot through you as you tried to sit up, only to realize that your wrists were bound tightly with rough rope.

“Chuuya!” you shouted, your voice echoing in the dimly lit room. No response came, just the unsettling silence that hung heavily in the air. Fear clawed at your chest as you struggled against your restraints. Where were you? How did you get here?

Your mind raced back to the park, to the warmth of Chuuya’s hand in yours. You had been discussing your dreams for the future, sharing laughs and hopes, and now…now you were trapped. The last thing you remembered was a shadowy figure approaching you as you left the café. Before you could react, everything went black.

Panic surged through you again as you scanned your surroundings. The small, windowless room was cold, the only light seeping through a cracked door. You could hear muffled voices outside, too far away to discern what they were saying.

“Get a grip, Silvia,” you muttered to yourself, drawing in a shaky breath. You needed to stay calm. You needed to think. If you could just figure out a way to get free, to escape before they came for you again, maybe you could get back to Chuuya.

But who had done this to you? The answer was painfully clear. The Port Mafia had always been a threat to you, lurking in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike. The realization sent a shiver down your spine. They knew about your connection with Chuuya, and they would do anything to exploit it.

Just then, the door creaked open, and you turned your head sharply toward the sound. A figure stepped into the room, silhouetted against the light. It was one of the mafia’s lackeys, a man you recognized from brief encounters—an enforcer known for his ruthlessness.

“Look who finally woke up,” he sneered, crossing his arms. “How cute. You thought you could play with the big boys and get away with it?”

Your heart raced as you glared at him. “Let me go. Chuuya will come for me.”

His laughter echoed through the small room, cold and mocking. “Oh, I’m counting on it. You see, we have a little game planned. If he wants you back, he’ll have to prove himself. And trust me, he’s going to suffer for this.”

The door slammed shut, and you were left in darkness once again. You had to get out of here. You couldn’t let Chuuya get hurt because of you.

As the minutes ticked by, your mind raced with possibilities. You tugged at the ropes binding your wrists, desperately trying to loosen them. The rough fibers bit into your skin, but you couldn’t give up. Chuuya was out there, and you had to believe he would come for you.

Meanwhile, Chuuya paced back and forth in his dimly lit apartment, anxiety coiling in his gut like a snake. The moment he had received the call about your abduction, his heart had dropped. A thousand worst-case scenarios raced through his mind.

“Damn it!” he growled, running a hand through his hair. “They can’t just take her and expect me to sit back and do nothing!”

He reached for his phone, dialing a number he knew all too well. It rang a few times before it connected. “Mori,” he said, his voice sharp. “I need information. They’ve taken her.”

There was a pause on the other end, Mori’s calm voice cutting through the tension. “Ah, Chuuya. I can’t say I’m surprised. You’ve been reckless, mingling with the enemy.”

“Cut the crap, Mori!” Chuuya snapped. “I need to know where she is. If anything happens to her—”

“Your emotions are clouding your judgment,” Mori interrupted, but Chuuya could hear the amusement in his voice. “I’ll send someone to gather intel. But know this: If you charge in recklessly, you may lose more than just your precious Silvia.”
