Crane's POV:

after the argument between po and tigress, i began to follow the others when i heard sniffling somewhere close by. I took to the sky and found Lady Shui on a nearby rooftop, evidently in distress. I softly landed so i don't scare her. She slowed down her sniffling and her tears started disappearing.

"Lady Shui." I said and nodded, which was something i should've done the last few times we crossed paths.

"Why are you here?" She asked, still quivering. I looked around and saw the remnants of the palace. Must've been the reason for her depression.

I sighed as i turned to her and said, "I'm sorry about the palace." I sat next to her, then stayed silent.

"It's fine." Shui said. "I fear Shen's quest for vengeance has just begun."

"Vengeance?" I asked.

"After our parents banished him, Shen swore that when he returns, all of china will soon bow to his feet." She explained, shocking me as a result. "The year of the peacock has begun."

"Now?" I asked, confused.

"I know, right? And it's in the middle of the year." She said. "I just doesn't make a lot of sense. And besides, i lost something back at the palace before it collapsed." I wondered what she was talking about when i checked my hat. One of her crescent moon knives had wedged itself onto it. Must've happened when she released my friends and i from our restraints. I pulled it out and gave it to her. She nodded in thanks. I thought about what she said about the 'year of the peacock.'

"What if the year of the peacock would end before it began?" I asked myself. Shui overheard me, much to my misfortune.

"That just might work." She exclaimed. "But how? I mean, in what way?" I laughed on the inside when she said that. Then the rest of the five found us.

"We'll figure something out, Your Grace." Tigress explained. I gestured shui to follow us and she obliged. Whatever Shen had planned for china, it had to end. Effective immediately.
