Back at McKenna Castle
Liam watched as Aileen's maid ran down to him shouting in Gaelic.
"Bess, calm down. Now tell me what has you so riled up." He said, calmly staring into her eyes.
"I went up to wake Aileen up and when I opened the curtains she wasn't in her bed." She took a breath. "I looked all over the castle and I couldn't find her!" Her voice was full of panic again. Liam froze as her words sunk in.
Liam fled to Angus' study. He quickly opened the door running to his father. Angus looked at him, registering the fear in his son's eyes.
"What is it, Liam?" He asked quickly. He watched his son closed his eyes and look back up at him.
"Aileen's maid couldn't find Aileen. I ran into the stable master who said Aileen's mare is gone." Liam said worry etched onto his face.
"What!" Angus screamed making some object rattle. Liam flinched.
"Aileen is gone." He said in a slightly softer voice. Angus' shout could be heard throughout the castle and beyond.

McDonald Castle
Aileen tried to open her eyes, but they felt like lead. It felt like her mouth was stuffed with wool. When her eyes finally opened she noticed two women at her beside. One was dressed in finery, the other in servants clothes. The one in finery had curly black hair with silver running through her hair in swatches and had pale mass green eyes. The servant had wiry gray hair and was plump.
"Oh! She's awake!" The woman in finery exclaimed. The woman grabbed a cup of water and pressed it to her lips, where Aileen drank it greedily.
"Where am I?" Aileen asked once she got her fill of water.
"McDonald Castle." A deep baritone answered her from the door. Aileen's head whipped to the voice where she saw the man who had attacked her.
"You!" She shouted and began to throw pillows and anything else she could grab. The man ducked away from each item. When she finally ran out of items, the man stalked towards her fury burning in his eyes. His eyes....she sighed inside her brain. His eyes were a deep moss green with flecks of yellow and one soul fleck of blue.
He started to grab for her when the fine woman took a hold of his arm.
"Tannar calm yourself." She stated firmly. The fury in his beautiful eyes only diminished by a degree.
"That lass needs a damn thrashing after that." He shouted. The women stared at him.
"If you touch the lass Meg and I will be giving you a thrashing. Now remove yourself from her chamber." She said calmly and sternly.
"But-" He began but was cut off by the woman's sharp glare and left the chamber.
"Now, lass, what is your name?" The woman said kindly.
"Aileen McKenna." Aileen said fixing her gaze on the woman. The woman smiled.
"I'm Moreen McDonald, that oaf's mother. That is Meg, our healer." Meg looked up from mixing herbs and nodded with a small mischievous smile. Aileen giggled a little at Moreen's way of describing her son.
"Aye, he is a bit of an oaf." She said shyly. Moreen just smiled.
"Now, Aileen, I need you to tell me why you were on McDonald land, before Tannar comes back." Moreen said in comforting way. Aileen nodded.
