nodded curtly, falling into step beside Amy and Ishika.
Aakarsh trailed behind, his presence looming.
✨ Continuation ✨
As the flight attendants completed their safety demonstrations, Amy turned to me with a mischievous grin.
"Ashi, can I ask a favor?"
"Sure, what is it?" I replied.
"Can you switch seats with me? I want to catch up with Ishika."
I hesitated, glancing at Aakarsh, who was sitting beside me.
But Amy's pleading expression won me over.
"Okay, fine."
Amy squealed, swapping seats with me.
I reluctantly settled into my new seat, beside Aakarsh.
He raised an eyebrow, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
"Looks like fate wants us together," he whispered.
I shot him a warning glance, buckling my seatbelt.
As the plane took off, Aakarsh leaned back, his arm brushing against mine.
I shifted away, trying to create distance.
But the narrow seat made it impossible.
"Comfortable?" Aakarsh asked, his voice low.
I nodded curtly, avoiding eye contact.
The flight attendant offered drinks, and Aakarsh ordered for both of us.
As she walked away, he turned to me.
"So, Ms. Ashi, what have you been up to?"
His tone was casual, but his eyes probed deeper.
I hesitated, unsure how much to reveal.
I burst out without even thinking what am I speaking
"Listen Mr. Arora I know you are confused about how a princess became social worker and so many questions rising in your mind, but don't you dare tell this to anyone there. I just don't want unnecessary fame and special treatment so I had only thought of this option, I hope you understand."
I said in one breath leaving him speechless
"Woah...Ms.ashi?" (He smirked)
"Okay fine I won't tell this to anyone but on one condition. Are you okay with it?""Condition? What kind of condition?"
"I'll tell you when it's the right time."
"Ugh..? Okay fine"
I maintained a calm facade, concealing the turmoil within.
Aakarsh's gaze lingered on me, his eyes searching.
Suddenly, he leaned in, his whisper sending shivers down my spine.
"I never knew that the girl I hate the most and the girl I love the most...are the same person."
My heart clenched, but I refused to reveal my emotions.
I averted my gaze, focusing on the clouds outside the window.
Aakarsh's words echoed in my mind.
Did he truly mean them?
Or was this another game?
