The oppressive silence inside the submarine felt like a heavy fog, thickening the air around them. Suddenly, the eerie stillness shattered with a chime, followed by the slow hiss of the door opening and extending onto the dock.

He stepped out into the crisp air, glancing back at the others as they hesitated, exchanging nervous looks before shuffling out one by one.

As the last of them exited, the intercom crackled to life.

"As discussed in your briefing, remember your primary objective: secure and retrieve the crystal. Your secondary objective is to secure any loose assets you find on the way. You have been equipped with a diving tank, allowing you to traverse any pontentially flooded areas. The Navi-AI system has marked to shortest route to the primary objective. Open the door and proceed when ready."

"Uh... guys... the submarine left us..." Will exclaimed, his voice trembling with anxiety.

"What? They actually left us?" Henry stammered, disbelief evident in his eyes.

"I found a keycard!" you shouted back, glancing at your group, who hadn't noticed you wandering off in search of anything remotely useful.

"Try it on that door over there, marked '001'!" Grace suggested, pointing.

You slid the keycard into the slot. A short beep sounded, and the door swung open to reveal a dimly lit hallway lined with scattered lockers, crates, and desks. As you rummaged through the drawers, you uncovered files and USB sticks.

You pass door after door, noticing scattered files and debris littering the floor of this decaying building. Eventually, you reach door 12, where the lights begin to flicker ominously.

"Cant even have proper electricity running in here?"

"What do you even expect in a run down place like this?"

You freeze, heart pounding, as a distant screech echoes through the hall, growing louder with each passing second. The source of the sound is unknown, until you spin around just in time to see something charging toward you and your group. Panic grips you. You dive into a locker nearby, barely managing to close it as the thing hurtles into the room, smashing the lights and plunging everything into darkness.

Your breath catches in your throat as the sound of destruction fades. After what feels like an eternity, you summon the courage to step out of the locker, trembling. The sight that greets you is worse than you could have imagined. Nearly everyone in your group has been brutally slaughtered by the abomination. Their disfigured bodies lie scattered on the cold, hard floor, twisted and unrecognizable.

"Jesus... w-what the hell was that? What did it do to them?... How did this even happen?"

The eerie silence is shattered by a panicked voice calling out from somewhere in the darkness.

"Oh God... is anyone alive? Hello?"

It's Henry—you recognize his voice, trembling with fear.

"Jesus, Henry, you're alive! I thought everyone was dead. What the hell was that thing?"

"I-I don't know!" His voice wavers. "I just saw something charging at us... right at the last second!"

"I-I can't do this! I just want to go home... get me out of this hellhole!" Henry's voice cracks, on the verge of breaking down.

"We don't have a choice," you reply, trying to steady your own fear. "We have to keep moving. We can't stay here much longer—who knows what else is lurking in the dark."
