Kaylie pov
Four days had passed since Kevin's announcement, and today was the day. Kaylie's heart raced as she stood in front of the mirror, her wedding dress hugging her curves perfectly.
Her hair was styled in loose waves, and her makeup was flawless. She looked stunning.
But amidst the excitement, Kaylie's mind wandered to her father. He had been against this marriage from the start, but Kevin had somehow convinced him to walk her down the aisle.
As they made their way to the church, Kaylie's father's expression softened. He took her hand, and they walked down the aisle together.
The pastor began the ceremony, his words echoing through the crowded church.
"Kaylie, do you take Kevin as your lawfully wedded husband?"
Kaylie's voice trembled. "I do."
Kevin's eyes locked onto hers, his smile radiant.
"Kevin, do you take Kaylie as your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do," Kevin replied, his voice firm.
The pastor pronounced them husband and wife, and Kevin's lips claimed Kaylie's in a passionate kiss.
The reception was a blur of laughter, tears, and congratulations. Kaylie's father even managed a smile, though his eyes still held a hint of skepticism.
As the night drew to a close, Kevin and Kaylie made their way to his private jet.
"Where are we going?" Kaylie asked, excitement sparkling in her eyes.
"Somewhere beautiful," Kevin replied, his smile mysterious.
The jet soared into the sky, leaving the chaos behind.
As they flew into the unknown, Kaylie's thoughts turned to her father's words: "Be careful, Kaylie. You don't know what you're getting yourself into."
But Kaylie had made up her mind. She was all in, no matter what lay ahead.
Little did she know, Kevin had secrets waiting to unravel.
As we stepped off the private jet and onto the pristine shores of Bora Bora, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and wonder. The crystal-clear waters, overwater bungalows, and lush greenery seemed like the perfect setting for a dreamy honeymoon.
But little did I know, my dream was about to turn into a nightmare.
Kevin's demeanor had shifted during the flight. He was distant, his eyes glued to his phone as he typed away, ignoring me.
I tried to brush it off, thinking maybe he was just busy with work.
But as we entered the luxurious penthouse suite, my doubts began to surface.
"Your room is the first one," Kevin said, his voice cold and detached, pointing down the hallway.
I frowned, confusion etched on my face. "Aren't we... aren't we supposed to share a room?"
Kevin's expression turned icy. "We're only married on paper, Kaylie. Why should that bother you?"
His words cut deep, like a knife twisting in my heart.
I felt a tear roll down my cheek as Kevin turned and walked away, leaving me standing alone in the opulent foyer.
What have I gotten myself into?
I stumbled to my room, slamming the door shut behind me.
Tears streamed down my face as I collapsed onto the plush bed.
Why did I agree to this marriage?
Why did I think I could change him?
The questions swirled in my mind like a vortex, sucking me down into despair.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the island, I cried myself to sleep.
The sound of waves gently lapping against the shore outside my window was a cruel irony.
This was supposed to be my dream honeymoon.
Instead, it had turned into a nightmare.
