Will is in his bed tossing and turning it wasn't a nice night in the Caulfield household of Oakland California the weather had set in on a particularly bad thunderstorm and for four year old William Caulfield it scared him beyond anything else. He tries to cover his ears and shut his eyes forcing himself to try to sleep but it's impossible. Despite the fear he refuses to cry out. "Will?" Standing in the doorway of his bedroom is his mama, Max Caulfield. her brown hair is loose down to her shoulders she's wearing a grey t-shirt with a deer on the front and a pair of red plaid sleep pants. "Mama!" Will runs into his mother's arms crashing into her burying his head into the crook of her neck.  "Oh baby it's ok mama's got you shhh, shhh, shhh" Max sits on the edge of her son's bed rocking him back and forth soothing him as she runs her fingers through his hair the brown hair that was a carbon copy of her own. "It's only a thunderstorm sweet boy it can't hurt you not as long as your mama & mommy are here and trust me we're not going anywhere." Will sniffled a bit wiping his eyes. "P-promise?" Max gave her son a tender kiss on his forehead keeping her lips pressed against his head  for a solid minute before releasing her lips from his forehead. Max then began to hum before singing.  Will recognized the song immediately, Obstacles by Syd Matters. Will found himself lulled to sleep and in the safety of his mother's arms being carried to her room. "It's the promise of a lifetime baby boy." Max whispered to her son as she tucked him in the middle between herself and Chloe. "Bad dream?" Chloe whispered putting out the joint running her fingers through her son's hair cuddling him close to her breasts. Will subconsciously gripping the fabric of her bright eyes shirt. "Thunderstorm kept him up." Max whispered settling into bed with her wife and son. "Runs in the family." Chloe mumbled softly chuckling sinking into the bed beside the two people she cherished most. "As long as we're here a thunderstorm won't get him." Max whispered with determination. "Mama bear Max is my favorite Max." Chloe gave her wife a soft kiss as the family of three drifted off to the world of dreams.
