Abigail Johnson had always believed she had Michael Thompson wrapped around her finger. As his girlfriend, she enjoyed the luxury of his wealth and the prestige of being associated with a powerful CEO. However, she couldn't help but notice a subtle change in him ever since Sarah Morgan became a more prominent figure in Michael's life-first as his assistant, then as Lily's nanny. Abigail's intuition told her that something was happening, and she felt threatened by Sarah's increasing presence.
One rainy evening, Sarah arrived at Michael's home to take care of Lily, drenched from the downpour outside. Her clothes clung to her body, and she shivered from the cold. Michael, who wasn't home yet, had told her to make herself comfortable, so she went upstairs to change into something dry. Finding herself in his bedroom, she rummaged through the closet for a spare shirt and towel.
Just as Sarah started to undress, Michael walked through the front door. He called out, only to find his voice caught in his throat as he headed upstairs and entered his bedroom. There, in front of him, stood Sarah, mid-change, her damp clothes discarded on the floor. His breath hitched, eyes drawn to her in a way he hadn't allowed himself to feel before. The sight of her, vulnerable and unguarded, stirred something deep within him.
Sarah froze for a moment, equally startled by his sudden appearance. Their eyes locked, the tension thick in the air, before Sarah quickly grabbed a towel, covering herself. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to... I was just trying to dry off," she stammered, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
Michael's heart raced. He nodded, his voice rougher than he intended. "It's fine... I'll give you a minute." He left the room, but his mind lingered on the image of Sarah-her beauty, the way her skin glistened from the rain, and the vulnerability she'd shown him in that moment.
The rest of the night, Michael couldn't sleep. Every time he closed his eyes, the memory of Sarah standing there replayed in his mind. The feelings he'd been trying to suppress grew stronger. He knew it wasn't just physical attraction-it was more. She had become someone he admired, someone who made him feel alive again. By morning, he was restless, torn between his emotions and his responsibilities.
At the office the next day, Michael found it impossible to interact with Sarah the way he usually did. He couldn't meet her eyes without thinking of the night before. Every time she walked into his office, he felt a pull toward her, something undeniable yet unspoken.
When Sarah brought him his morning coffee, as she always did, he couldn't help but notice the light pink stain from her lipstick on the cup. Without thinking, he took the cup from her hand and exchanged it for his own, lifting it to his lips where the lipstick mark was still visible. There was something intimate about it-something he couldn't explain but felt deeply.
Sarah noticed the exchange, a flicker of confusion and warmth crossing her features, but she said nothing, sensing the shift in the air between them. The tension had grown, and Michael's subtle actions only fueled the growing connection they shared.
Meanwhile, Abigail's jealousy festered. She saw the way Michael looked at Sarah, the subtle closeness that was developing between them. Abigail knew she had to act fast before Sarah became an even bigger threat to everything she wanted-Michael's wealth, his status, and the life of luxury she desired.
