Two Stories for ya!

10.30.24 [10:30 PM]

I wore my contacts today because I want to look pretty in front of my brothers, and especially for my handsome boyfriend. Hehehe...

I just finished doing my makeup!

Woaaah! They’re all wearing such interesting, hot outfits today!!! My brothers are so supportive of me! I’m blushing so hard. Stop it!! o (>‿<✿)

UNINVITED
"It’s not the things you see that haunt you...
it’s what you can’t explain."

When I was 10, I stayed up late watching a TV marathon with my brother, Yeonjun-hyung and Kai. It was just the three of us, the rest of the house quiet as the night crept on. After a while, my brothers dozed off, leaving me alone with the flickering screen.

That’s when it happened.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the computer mouse—sitting nearby—start moving on its own. At first, I thought I imagined it.

But no... it was definitely moving.

I called my mom into the room, with my heart racing in fear. She shrugged it off, saying it was probably a rat pulling the cable from beneath the desk.

"Go to sleep, Beom." she said, patting my head.

But I couldn’t.

Something didn’t feel right.

I turned back toward the room, and that’s when I saw it.

A black figure—featureless, without a face—looming behind the bookcase. It stood there, motionless, but somehow... I knew it was looking at me. Then, it raised its hand and pointed, directly at me.

My heart nearly stopped.

Panic surged through me, and before I could think, I shouted, "W-Who are you?! I don’t want you in my house! Nobody wants you here! Get out!"

To my shock, it moved.

The figure seemed to hit the cabinet behind it, making the entire piece of furniture shake. The doors of the cabinet slammed shut with a deafening bang. And then, it was gone—vanished as if it had never been there at all.

But the terror?

That stayed with me.

[10:35 PM]

I’m outside in my secret garden with my brothers. I guess they all got tired from helping with my project because they’re now sleeping peacefully. Meanwhile, here I am, cleaning up the mess!

Wow, the audacity to let their one and only princess clean up after them!

Luckily, Eomma and Appa came back with snacks and even helped me clean up the remaining trash. Meanwhile, my brothers continue sleeping, lost in their own dreams.

I just smiled at their handsome faces before grabbing the boxes Eomma and Appa brought so I can neatly pack my work inside, all pretty and organized.

CLARITY
"Some truths are better left unseen."

I got my first pair of glasses last week. My parents didn’t think I needed them at first, but the doctor insisted. He said there was something wrong with more than just my eyes, something common, but that I needed these specially prescribed lenses 'for my own good'.

The doctor told me I was lucky, that most people never get the chance to see the way I would.

At the time, I thought he meant cars and distant signs would become less blurry, that everything would just look clearer. And for a couple of days, that’s exactly what happened.

But then, things started to change.

I began seeing things I’d never noticed before...

Shadows that moved unnaturally in the corners of my room. Distorted figures lurking in darkened parking lots. Creatures with twisted shapes, haunting the spaces where light barely reached.

Nightmare creatures... everywhere.

Today, I took my glasses off for the first time since getting them. It’s amazing how quickly demons and monsters melt back into trees and shadows when the world becomes a blur again.

I know what I’m seeing now isn’t real—or, at least, it isn’t what everyone else sees.

But I’m a simple person.

I think I’d rather keep things blurry, just like everyone else does.
