it's been almost a week since joining class 1-A for training.

11 am rolls around and Bakugo is fired up, as usual.

Training is going to play out a little differently this time. We have to get into pairs of two and spar. So we aren't really allowed to, you know, beat the shift out of our opponent.

And of course, I somehow ended up with Bakugo, again.

Me and Bakugo are in the corner of the room, as far away from Mr. Aizawa as possible, neither of us wanted him to stop this fight.

He was confident, bouncing on his heels, the look in his eyes burning with that familiar challenge. "What!? Cat got your tongue or something," he screams.

Lost in my thoughts I forgot to give Bakugo the signal to start the match. He might blast the shit out of me, but I think we both know who will end on top.

I smirked and took a deep breath, I finally nodded, determination swirling inside me.

"Let's fucking go!" My quirk surged to life, the air around me crackling as I twisted the ground beneath my feet, shaping it into a solid platform.

I hear Bakugo shout at me "GIVE ME ALL YOU GOT!" and with that an explosion escaped from his palms. Immedeatly I solidified the air around me, creating a protective box.

I had a strategy planned but so did he.

Because the whole area around us was beginning to fill with black smoke.

He's trying to mess with me?

"Oh fuck you, Bakugo!" I tried launching a series of solid projectiles his way.

Bakugo dodged and countered with a wave of explosions, the force of his blasts sending shockwaves through the room as the class began to try and watch us spar.

The thick smoke began to look like walls, enveloping us, swirling around like a tempest.

I could hear the class start complaining how they had trouble breathing from the smoke.

I managed to evade him for a moment by shifting the ground under me and sending up a wall of solid matter to protect myself.

But the moment was fleeting; He isn't giving me time to think.

"You know, for someone who can control smoke, you're pretty shit at it!"

Before I knew it, Bakugo lands on the floor and blasts the ground beneath me.

Before I could hit react, I feel Bakugo grip my wrist and swing me against the wall.

Pinning me down, his arms blocking any chance of escape. "Gotcha, steam-queen!" he growled, a gleam of triumph in his eyes as he pressed me back against the wall.

With my heart racing, I felt the heat of his body so close to mine, the way his breath brushed against my skin. Panic flooded my senses, and in a moment I knew that I needed a distraction.

Anything to throw him off his game...

My body impulsivly reacted to my thoughts.

I leaned in and kissed him.

The light was dim from the smoke, with slight sun rays peaking through.

The moment our lips met, it felt like everything melted away except for the two of us. I felt his body tense up and his grip loosen around my wrists.
