"Tere Sapne Dekh Raha Hoon
Aur Mera Ab Kaam Hai Kya
Saagar Jaisi Aankhon VaaliYe To Bata Tera Naam Hai Kya"
We all gathered our things and made our way down to the hall. It was completely empty except for the waiters and the decorators finishing up. The place looked stunning—red draped everywhere, giving off this royal, elegant vibe. I was walking around, taking in the beauty of it all, and of course, Mihika was right behind me.
"Ladki wale nahi ayenge?"(Won't the girl's side come?) she asked nonchalantly trying to hide her smirk with the comment.
"Tu jaa kar le aa"(You go and bring them) I answered rolling my eyes.Suddenly Akash came running to me panting.
"They came! Come on come on! she is here!"
"She who?" I asked as if I didn't know it well
"Nautanki band kar! Chal!"(Stop your drama! Let's go!)We stepped out onto the glass balcony, looking down to see Bhabi gracefully walking in, dressed in a stunning red gown. Following her was another young girl in a white dress. More people began to stream in, but my eyes were searching for only one person. And then, finally, she appeared. She looked jaw-dropping, absolutely breathtaking. I turned to Akash, ready to point her out, but he already seemed looking at her. He looked completely hypnotized, his gaze fixed on her even after she had gone inside, which was weird.
"Kya hua!?"(What happened!?)
"N-nothin...."I made my way downstairs and stood beside my mom, who was busy helping Mausi welcome everyone. Each person entered with a huge smile, greeting us warmly. Finally, she walked in, wearing a soft smile and nodding politely to everyone in the room. But the moment her eyes landed on me, her expression shifted into one of confusion. She raised her eyebrows, looking at me like I was a puzzle she couldn't figure out. Seemed like I created a bad impression on our first meet.
I glanced around, realizing that Akash and Mihika were nowhere to be seen. Curious, I scanned the room, only to spot Mihika a few feet away, already chatting away with her as if they'd known each other for years. Mihika's usual energy was in full swing. As I walked closer, I caught snippets of Mihika's enthusiastic chatter, mixed with her signature laughter.
"Heyy Mihi! stop annoying people"
"It's alright....she's very cute" she replied calmly
"HUH! SEE!"She excused herself and moved to the other side of the room, but something in me felt a pull—I needed to talk to her. It was an unexplainable urge, so I gathered myself and walked up to her.
"Excuse me"She turned around, her gaze locking onto mine, and in that moment, I felt my blood rush, heat spreading through me. Her eyes held a powerful, almost intimidating aura, the kind of look that could unsettle anyone. I could feel my heartbeat quicken, and for a second, I thought I might faint. Her expression had this undeniable intensity, a quiet strength that made me instantly nervous.
