Blakely
At some point during the night I had drifted off to sleep the sound of someone in the kitchen had woken me up abruptly making me shoot up out of bed.
The sun shined through the window telling me it was now morning.
The fear of running into Matteo after last night's fiasco weighed heavily on mind. I wasn't too sure how the dynamic between us would be.
"Ley get up!" Jackson called out to me through the other side of my safe haven
I sighed, choosing to suck it up and walk out of the bedroom to see what he wanted. I hadn't changed from the pajamas I slept in last night.
Turning into the living room my heart sank Matteo and Chelsie all sat on the couch while Jackson made his way back to the living room.
"There you are. You still wanna go to lunch this afternoon?" Jackson smiled up at me from where he sat my eyes falling over to the couple beside him.
Matteo didn't even acknowledge my presence as his arm was swung over Chelsie's shoulder, who was all snuggled up to him.
"Oh um yeah" I replied pulling my eyes away from the two looking back toward my brother
"Awesome well we will be heading out around 10 then" Jackson smiled turning his attention back to the tv
I went back into the kitchen to get something on my nauseated stomach in hopes it would subside the feeling of wanting to vomit.
I don't know what I expected but I sure as hell didn't expect to see Matteo with her right after our kiss and he expressed some sort of feelings towards me.
I put a toaster strudel in the toaster waiting for it to pop back up when the certain someone made their appearance into the kitchen with me.
I guess it's now or never.
Who knows the next time we have a few seconds alone
I turn towards his direction as he shuffles through the fridge intensely
"Hey. Can we talk?" My voice shakes out not hiding the anxiousness I'm feeling deep in side as I watch him turn his attention to me
"Um. Sure" Matteo replied in a confused tone
"So about last night" I trailed off looking away from him nervously
"What about it? I don't really care to hear about your date." He grit out, annoyance lacing his voice
"Not that. Afterwards." I pushed trying to keep my breath steady not wanting to say it out loud
"Blakely. I don't know what you are getting at" he stood up looking in my direction.
The look on his face said it all, he had no idea what I was talking about or he regretted it and wanted to pretend like it didn't happen. He must have been more wasted than I thought.
There was no point in continuing this discussion because honestly I'm embarrassed that I could have ever thought something could happen between us.
Or that he wanted something to happen.
"It's fine. It wasn't important anyway." I shook my head pulling my breakfast from the toaster letting it cool off before
His eyes never met mine during our conversation making my heart sink.
Matteo made his way back to the living room empty handed leaving the idea of grabbing something to eat out the equation now.
The thought of food also leaving me as the nauseous feeling rises in my throat.
